Questions & Mysteries Same aura - Zoro & death & cursed blade

#1

As you can see Oda used that same aura that you see behind the reaper/shinigami for 2 other occasion both connected with Zoro and his blades.
Both occasion there is Zoro & blade and talking about death.
The first picture is when Kazaburo is saying to Zoro that blade are for killing.
Second picture is about the cursed blade, people that aint strong enough will die if they use the hitetsu blade
And last picture is potentially trigged by the counter effect of the mink medicine - and chopper saying dont die Zoro.

What does that tell me? Well that Oda want to explore more the lore about blades and death aka blacken blade that hitetsu point in Wano.

Were cursed blades not disproven like 5 chapters ago?
So Oda is saying that this is also a fake Shinigami?
well the cursed blade is indeed something for weak mind, but the panel in which Oda decide to use the same aura like in the shinigami one is for a panel in which the blade owner shop said that many died due to hitetsu, the same is for the first picture when Kazaburo is saying that blade are for killing.
So in all this panels the main point is death but all this occasion are connected with Zoro.
Now 1033 was a good chapter for the blades lore and Zoro advcoc
Chapter 97 was when Zoro got the hitetsu blade (so a new blade)
If we put all this together and we have also the main aspect of the death, I feel like the next step for Zoro is to defeat death and achieve the blacken blade. In both occasion Zoro got something out of the blade. So with the reaper what will Zoro get out of the blade? Well the blacken blade trait.

I would prefer if Oda pulls a Hisoka with Zoro and make a post-mortem Haki, "your Haki will get stronger after death".
Or his haki is more potent since he witnessed a near death experience.
That would be interesting, if Zoro will actually be dead for a couple of minutes & then revives himself out of sheer will or some external help.
But u r implying that the shinigami represents the curse "allegedly" within the sword and defeating the shinigami=> remove the curse=> BB.
I still think the shinigami is a mere hallucination. But we'll see.

We never actually got an answer to this question Zoro just finds his own, i'm certain Enma has always been more demanding than the Ame no habakiri even when Oden used it but i get the feeling it adjusts it depending on on users potential. Zoro figures it out giving it what it wants, it's interesting he also supplies his 2 other swords the exact same amount of haki he used on Enma. So a repeated process of this might be how one finally achieves black blade, exuding haki at that level at all times when it becomes normal surely will have an effect on the swords.

I feel like the reaper can be see also due to the special place that is Wano and also due to the moment in which is taking place.
All the raid is taking place during the fire festival in Wano (in the flower capital) people are celebrating and paying regards to their spirits and entety.

For this reason Zoro is much more in close contact to the other world than in other death situation that we saw in previous arc.

Basically right now the door is open for the other world the spirit world to come in contact with the living world that why Zoro can see the shinigami next to him. I feel also that the shinigami will have a connection with blades in general not Enma but with the blades tools use for killing in generation (just remember about the panel in the graveyard with all the blades and their owner in the land under the shimotzuki clan).

This can become an extremely interesting plot point. Let see what Oda will plan :steef:

It is all a setup for the death of ogre Kaido.
Conveniently, Kitetsu means Ogre splitter.
Still not sure about the blackening process.
Demon splitter. Nice try tho

It still works :myman:
Oni (鬼, Oni) are a kind of yōkai from Japanese folklore, variously translated as demons, devils, ogres or trolls.

Zoro always fought death and won because he was strong enough to

The Sandai Kitetsu curse

Nothing Happened

The Baboons

Now this
Totally off-topic but I got a hunch that @yorosenpai and @Giggio are Johnny and Yosaku to @nik87 's Zoro. Just sayin'.
