hat's what I was thinking, Oda is fixating a lot on Sanji's past with Germa and thus the North Blue and it's royalty as you said, that is sp,e great points there too. Judge killed 4 kings from there I believe and took their heads off or something and Pizarro is the corrupt King, so I wonder if Judge led to Pizarro's capture after defeating him and his kingdom/forces or Pizarro was conveniently already in Impel Down when Judge was on his regicidal spree?
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Pizarro and Judge have interacted in the past, but I think it would be more likely that Pizarro defeated Judge.
Oda will want to hype Pizarro up, so he wouldn’t want him defeated by Judge (who kind of sucks). If anything I think it would be that Judge was defeated by Pizarro and that was the real reason that Germa ran away from North Blue when Sanji was a kid, or something like that.
Franky was a South Blue peasant, so that could be a dichotomy between him and Pizarro, who was North Blue royalty.
It’s not. There’s never been any focus at all put on Franky coming from West Blue, and he’s not even a “peasant”, he’s the son of pirates (again, barely focused on).
The Blackbeard fights will be to contrast something that’s important to the Strawhats. Franky’s past before Tom is minor background info at best. Whereas Sanji’s heritage has been the focus of his character for the past 200 chapters and still isn’t finished, since we know nothing about Germa’s 66 days or why Sora has the same name as a Marine hero. Two North Blue royals fighting each other is as clear a setup for a fight as sniper vs sniper.
The rest of the Level 6 prisoners seem like mid trio opponents, and Oda hasn’t really ever portrayed Pizarro as being a cut above the rest, as he has with Shiryu.
He’s barely done anything with the Blackbeard Pirates yet, when it’s time for them to be fleshed out that’s when he’ll start building on the differences between them.
But they are not meant to be viewed in the same way as the Beast Pirates or the BM Pirates, where there’s three much stronger guys and seven beneath them. That’s why they are a collective, Ten Titans, not Three Titans and Seven Giants or something like that. Even Shiryu didn’t get to be First Mate or even captain of the first fleet, despite him being the obvious strongest of the group.
If Pizarro is supposed to be Sanji’s opponent, why not reveal him as a cook?
Who’s to say he’s not, or that he is? Maybe he’s a glutton (hence him eating when we saw him forst post skip) who willfully starved his people as part of his cruelty. That would be a massive contrast with Sanji.
