I like Jimbei and he's obviously strong, hope Oda has him get some good showings to make up for his current predicament. Gunko's a lady, so Sanji would've been screwed but we'll just have to see how Oda portrays Sanji when he returns before saying if X happened to Jimbei, it'd happen to Sanji. Sanji's whole thing is saving his weaker allies even if he gets overwhelmed after, not sure Oda would write him doing nothing hence why Oda had him swap with Nami since Sanji's being saved for when the crew needs help most.

Issue with Jinbe is that this comes after an arc where his biggest actions were lifting boxes and be Zoro's taxi. Considering his initial portrayal people expected much more from him when it comes to action. The best we got since he officially joined is him defeating a tobi roppo and now he performed the exact same as Brook against the first antagonist they met in Elbaf.
Sanji might have jobbed to saturn eye but earlier in Egghead he saved Nami from S-shark and after that saved Bonney several times.

His behavior after they got beaten is not helping either, I understand that's he supposed to be wise and mature but man looks like he doesn't give a shit about their predicament yet it doesn't seem he's coming up with any solution.

I don't think there is any character in the verse who knows how imu abilities work. The solution isn't that simple to figure out
