I don't think Sanji has any fans at all. I think Sanji is basically a device to diss Zoro.
Like an ultimate insult to Zoro is saying Zoro is comparable to Sanji. Sanji obviously is an absolute embarrassment, like genuinely trash in every category possible..his combat skills are that of a fodder..his morality is questionable..he's disgusting.
So there is genuinely zero reason to like him that's why I hardly meet anyone irl who enjoys One Piece and says Sanji of all characters is their favorite.
But online I think Sanji has "fans" because he is a device to fuel Zoro hate.
Like Zoro is so trash he's comparable to Sanji. That's what entire Sanji fan base seem to be like. That's why they overglorify his trash feat, down play genuinely top tier Yonko Level feats from Zoro.
And since we all know this is true..this is very sad. Like an entire group existing to hate a character and pretending to be a fan of a character who author genuinely created to just humiliate.
Either humiliate him by taking Ls in combat
Or by changing his gender during time skip and looking disgusting
Or by being a pedophile
Or dying to blood loss from mermaid titties
Or by having sexual desires for kids
And simply making him a shallow character whose dialogues have no weight.
Whose combat style is literally kicks and kicks and kicks light up on fire and then once again kicks lit up on fire of different color.
So with a character with no relatability, character who constantly looks like an embarrassment, and has one of the worst moral compasses any "good guy" character can have and being weak as shit on top of that and repeatedly getting humiliated by the author simply for the sake of humiliating and Sanji gaining absolutely nothing from that humiliation.
Like what did Sanji gain by eating shit against
