I am being serious with this one. Sanji got something Zoro lacks. Thats a full fledged backstory with an dedicated arc to it. I am envious about sanji tbh since he is the better written character. Sure zoro is more badass and shit but thats all. He lacks a background story. His past with kuina is not enough to make zoro a better character. Ofuckingda had his opportunity to create an zoro arc and he fucked up. Come one how can a zoro fanboy not be salty after wano???

He was on autopilot
He literally had the perfect set up too
Zoro on his own journey throughout Wano, Zoro swearing he'd visit Ryuma's grave, the Grim Reaper (whatever tf that was supposed to be), his Shimotsuki lineage/whatever familial ties he has to Wano, avenging Yasuie, inheriting Oden's will through Enma
There was 0 payoff for any of it
I was never a fan of ZKK but looking back on it that would've been SOMETHING

Zoro is the better written. Specially for not having much development.
WCI was terrible for Sanji character. It destroyed him completely. Since from beating Luffy for no reason to all the underwhelming fights/clash that he had. And Wano came to destroy his flashback by giving him the genes bullshit.
Also he was such a pussy about the raid suit.

And Zoro had what Sanji needed in Wano. Perfectly balanced 
Our problem as Sanji fans is that feats and power levels are funnier and far more interesting to discuss than backstories or power ups that make some sense.

Agree 100%, unfortunately, this is the case, I was hoping in Wano we'd get a lot more details but we got so little, compared to Sanji's who's damn fully fleshed out char, and we're in the final arc.
There are a few crappy ways Oda can fix this.

- Slaps all of Zoro's info in an SBS
- Have another mangaka do a full breakdown (similar to boichi's work right now)

Pretty much. Sanji got better character development but Zoro got better progress as a fighter.
Anyway, ignoring the ZKK and Yasuie/Orochi plot, Zoro not visiting Ryuma's grave at the end of Wano when he literally has a week to do it is the biggest disgrace that Oda has ever done to Zoro's character. It's like Oda spits on Zoro's face as a character and his fans. I was also disappointed too.
