One can be broken through strength. The other can’t. Parasite attacks your nerves. And unless you can suddenly expand your body to sever the connection you can’t break it.

No that's not how it works. Doffy from the Palace was controlling king riku to make him attack the people. So distance is not a factor in how jozu got out.
