Theory Sanji's Performance on Egghead and why/how he has been holding back!

#62
An addendum to OP's post - When Sanji meets Nami for the first time, he says something to the effect of ''for you, i'd become a devil'. When Nami is kidnapped by Enel, he voices a similar sentiment(''i'll become the devil of the blue sea''). In Thriller Bark, he takes on a demon-like appearance after being told Nami's been taken by Absalom, and Zoro(or was it Usopp?) proceeds to comment he might transform if he keeps going. The recent fight with S-Shark fits the same pattern. Then consider the obvious connection between Sanji and the devil - the fire motif, Diablo/Ifrit Jambe, his spirit animal is a ram, etc, and the still dangling plot thread regarding the lineage factor related loss of humanity. Furthermore, the cover page of 997 depicts Sanji meditating while a raccoon(Zoro) hits him with 3 wooden swords. Here he is looking at Nami who is playing volleyball in the background(this is a tenuous connection, but the ball is identical to the hat Sanji wears during the Davy Back fight). Then there's the number 66 that connects both characters(Germa66, the devil, and Nami's bounty - 66 and then 366 million, plus some cover pages of them hitchiking next to road signs that read '66' and 'road to hell' - don't remember which chapters these are from).

I'm 90% sure there's gonna be a scene, be it this arc or another, where he loses control, fights Zoro, and is ultimately stopped or distracted by Nami. The latter scenario might parallel Dory and Brogy's (who are currently on Egghead) final fight in little island, with Zoro 'winning' but not accepting the victory because of third party interference. Pure speculation here, but i see her calling him a hero, specifically, because he's the one who constantly saves her, and he is the only member of the monster trio who doesn't deny being a hero. It also puts a final nail on his low self-esteem.
