Vegapunk's death will serve one very important purpose
Luffy will finally realize what the WG is ready to do to ensure secrecy regarding the void century, he already showed signs of interest as to why they're targeting VP. It also makes a shit ton of sense for the Gorosei to be successful in their first war showing
Ofcourse this doesn't mean the SHs themselves are gonna get beat up, that's inconsequential to the win con

I can see him revealing himself to either control the Pacifista and Seraphim again and/or to save Kizaru if he gets in trouble with Luffy, but otherwise he's staying put.

It's a good scenario but not the best.

I'll personally belive that Real VP will not get eliminated by Kizaru but the all the satelites left except York would get killed.

The newspaper would say the SHP take the full responsibility by killing all the Satelites and Kidnaped the real VP.
VP will survives with some powerplant of the Motherflame, so WG lost in War against SHP at Egghead Island, failed to eliminated Vegapunk and failed to secured the resource of the Motherflame.
We need VP for more information about the Void Century and Ancient Weapons.

If I’m Saturn, freeing the Seraphim is priority number one lol. Kizaru is already not focusing on Luffy, may as well just have him switch targets from Vegapunk to the Seraphim. With free Seraphim, I don’t think it’s remotely possible for Government forces to lose this battle lol

I agree but the Seraphim are too strong to fight for either side that's why Plot will prevent the characters from using them. I mean VP still thinks he has the highest authority on the Island so what held him back from using them at the very start ? Just PIS imo

The crew is already hard pressed and that with Stussy, Bonney, Egghead defenses as additional help. The Vice Admirals have done nothing yet.

No wonder the Giant Robot got activated. This is overkill and Kuma is coming as well lol.

Fine thread start. We did see Luffy laugh (albeit in Gear 5) post battle so we know they will be alright. Could absolutely be a case of SHP winning the battle but losing the war, or rather in this case winning the fight and losing the battle.

Saturn will definitely help turn the tide of the battle in favor of the Marines, however that doesn't mean they are going take the win here.

The World Government will be taking both a L and W by the end of this arc, their L would be that they failed to kill Vegapunk and also that they failed to get York(If she gets kidnapped by the Blackbeard Pirates).

Their W would be that they got successful in taking over Egghead and getting both the Seraphim and the Pacifistas.

Also Vegapunk imo isn't dying and he is not going to be the one to sacrifice himself for Bonney, with Kuma coming to Egghead it's obvious that he will be the one to sacrifice himself for Bonney not Vegapunk.
