In the brief moments Oda’s allowed her to, she’s demonstrated qualities of a top tier villain- ruthless, calculating and playing the long game.
Strip away weeding cake and o-lin and you have a Machiavellian leader. She rules her territory with an iron fist, reliably collecting tribute across it. She has the clout to openly meet with wg-aligned citizens like Neptune and Judge.
Her overall strategy to get one piece seems the best conceived out of anyone in the story. She uses alliances, arranged shotgun marriages and even her child’s bloodline as means to get there.
Unlike WB (“I need no help”) she responded to the threats of new era by allying with Kaido, setting aside any sense of ego or pride.
Pretty much every move she’s made has been spot on. Like every other villain to face him, obviously she got outmaneuvered by Luffy & friends, but she did everything she reasonably could have.

Her territory and crew are wonderfully creative, vibrant, interesting and inspiring. Oda really captured the fantasy and adventure themes with her arc and showed the influences of fairy tales and such. Lots of fascinating details and quirks to her territory and thus massive empire.
I adore her family and crew members like Katakuri, Cracker, Smoothie, Galette, Brulee, Mont D'or, Baron Tamago, Pekoms, Zeus, Streusen, Pudding, and such as characters, in design and personalities especially.
28 year old Big Mom looks absolutely amazing, the most beautiful woman in One Piece even imo and really captures the Bonnie and Clyde/Mafia influces she was involved in.
She reminds me of Ursula from Disney's animated Little Mermaid film and has some wickedly chaotic energy at times, including her "dark musicals".
Her Prometheus fire hair form, Misery, Hera all look awesome and she genuinely has some badass and spectacular attacks too. My jaw completely dropped especially when Nami did the Zeus Tempo on her too or such, that was STUNNING!
Her DF opens up so much room for creativity, verstatility, fun and utility!
She was so sweet, innocent and cute as a child and pretty much pure. She had the best intention deep down (much like Jinx herself says in League of Legends haha).
She also for what it's worth, still gave visually spectacular fights and moments and an on-screen fight for Law and Kidd together, especially for Kidd who really needed one too.
She has immense potential for theory crafting, I've had so many ideas for theories for her with different aspects of who she is and her life. She might be the most interesting character for me in that regard in One Piece and her backstory was unapologetically dark, brutal, horrific and tragic too.
I actually wished she was Perona's and Toko's mothers or related to them at least. I wanted her to be Nami's mother too or even Luffy's mother or grandmother. Charlotte Nami has such a nice ring to it but also Charlotte D Luffy. Charlotte is a really nice name in general too, I used to be friends with some wonderful, sweet Charlottes in my child and teen years.
She's still the strongest woman as far we know in One Piece and nobody has truly wounded and physically scarred her yet. She could also deliver a truly bittersweet (pun intended) and heartfelt, even tragic death if Oda wanted too, the potential is there.
Some of the homies she has made and the way she uses her powers and focuses on intel, business dealings, amassing territories, alliances and having the absolute boss bitch vibe are very interesting and cool imo.
She would really fit in Game of Thrones in some ways too as well as mafia series ofc and what not.
She can be reasonable and not be entirely ruthless too. She is willing to listen and bargain and she's not entirely evil nor in control of her hunger pangs, so she's also a victim, a tragic one in that regard, especially combined with her backstory too.
For better or worse, she is one of the most important and iconic aspects of One Piece and has been around for many years and was foreshadowed as far as as Thriller Bark in 2007/2008, which is 14-15 years ago now ofc!
Her ship is extremely cool and her crew are just so wacky, diverse and such. The enraged army are a little underrated imo especially compared to Kaido's "army" too. Having an army of living chess soldiers was cool too!
She's blatantly based on the Red Queen/Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland as well as some other famous wicked witches from even a few different cultures/mythologies and it really shows in Oda's writing of her.

This thread turned out to be surprisingly well. We're gonna make this a trend and make similar threads about the other characters too—especially the characters that receive too much hate or basing. Try avoiding negative or sarcastic comments; we have enough threads for that already, so I am gonna make it a rule for these threads and remove negative comments as well as the comments with a negative connotation.
These are definitely some of the coolest aspects of Big Mom. She looks surprisingly good when you look at her from a positive angle. She probably has far more positive aspects about her than Kaido, which kinda makes her look better as a character.

I thought it was pretty insane when Big Mom turned the sea into her homie.
Child Big Mom also received insane portrayal. Which 5 year old in this series was portrayed to be as strong as child Big Mom? I cant think of anyone other than Oden.
I dont find Big Mom that evil tbh. She wants to create an utopia with all the races which is a noble goal.

This thread is cringey af. I’d rather lurkers see Worstgen for what it really is and as a last resort haven for hardcore Zoro stans/blind BM haters who fail to see the glaring flaws/overwhelming greatness of these characters when Reddit and Twitter has driven them out of those places.

You can’t change the toxic mentality of this forum no matter what. Haters are going to continue to hate. All the BM positivity is already in more popular places like Reddit and Twitter.
