SBS both. One team has an actual great general leading them, while the other hasn't. Seika vassals also seem a lot more impressive individually than the Bayou guys. Even Fuuon can probably take any of them on, other than maybe Shoumou. Seika troops are also better.
Rihaku, Fuu ki and Chou Sou are quite smart

tactical wise they can handle themselves quite fine especially defense mode

Kou son Ryuu is also a well rounded badass (he has his two arms here). A good advisor, thinking on his two feet.

Mangoku is not to be underestimated either. And his walking dead army either. Fuuon can’t walk past him easily at all.

Shoumou is Shoumou.

And SBS will be stopped dead in his tracks by the Bushin and the front line won’t be able to advance. I think SBS has solid chance to win the clash (extreme diff) but Seika rush will be stopped.

‘I don’t think it will be a walk in the park at all

On an individual level the Seika generals are superior but the Houken army is a bit more balanced.

It's also unclear whether SBS is more powerful than Houken but given that they are both great heavens from the same generation it could go either way. I'll say SBS extreme diff because of recency bias.

Houken should be stronger individually, probably the only guy in the series outside of the Shiyu clan who have been portrayed to be superhuman in comparison to the rest. SBS shouldn’t push him further than Ouki did.

What about Moubu/Kanmei?
Houken should be superior to anyone we’ve seen in a stand alone fight not considering other factors, iirc the only reason he even got pushed like he did with Ouki was because of his “weight” without that he wouldn’t have sustained the gash on his head from Ouki. Could def be wrong tho, just the impression I get from the one read-through I did of this series not really familiar with the power scaling like that.

Shibashou wins, not easily but convincingly. The level of the average Seika soldier and of Shibashou’s generals is above that of Houken’s generals.

Houken’s generals are all competent and strong generals, but they were never portrayed as borderline Heavenly King level threats like Seika’s generals are. Kansaro completely negged Choupagang for example who himself seemed like an experienced general, trusted enough to lead 200k men. Gakushou also went even-ish with Akou who himself is in that Heavenly King range.

Houken’s generals are not scrubs but I see each of them losing to each of Seika’s generals, especially when you factor in the strength of Seika’s soldiers.

The only debatable advantage the Houken army has is the martial might of Houken himself exceeding Shibashou, which imo isn’t looking very likely.

Shibashou around a high diff.

Man these old panels are so raw. From chapters 100-350 Kingdom was just insanity.

I have Houken's army winning. I think they're individually inferior but strong and especially balanced enough to be an equal threat to SBS's commanders.

Shoumou is no slouch and I dare to say he can equally fight HK level guys easily. Fuuki and Chousou are pretty smart and capable to lead the Houken army and set up tactics. Rihaku and KSR are capable general in defensive battle especially.

Battle is decided by the leaders. With the current feats putting SBS and Houken against each other I have the Bushin slaying SBS, but this might very well change. SBS has everything that in the future could turn him into a weight monster coupled with his insane physique.

Seika wins. There is a clear gap in quality between two armies.

1. Mangoku is not facing Qin, so his special morale boost gets thrown out of the window. What is left is 88 strength frontline type which is not enough against any of the Seika fighters.
2. Kousonryuu is pretty much a Zhao version of Heki. Solid in every category, but against anyone outstanding he gets rekt.
3. Fuuki had some decent hype, but I can't see him doing much better then Denrimi who was hopeless against Seika's might.

Shoumou and Rihaku might be a bit more effective, but if Shibashou gets to the front himself then there's really nothing they can do to stop him. The only chance Bayou team has is Houken slaying Shibashou in a duel which is also a debatable topic.

You’re going a bit too fast here

you can also say that if Houken is fighting Kansaro or Jiaga he kills them in 2 seconds

Houken will very likely meet SBS and they will cancel each other for a long time during the battle

and you’re forgetting Chou Sou, The army strategist who had decent hype and stats

Houken army ( high diff )

Houken's generals are weaker individually but capable to organize, lead their soldiers and keep the entire SBS army busy. Houken army's versatility is higher

Houken's presence and iniciative can attract JKR and kill them all.
( Two of them is enough )

Houken VS SBS duel ( Houken high diff )

In Bayou Houken was not interested in going after any of Ouki's army commanders and he fully allowed Shoumou to get killed by Ouki. So idk if he would actually care about doing anything about those guys.

I'm not forgeting about him, I just fail to see how his presence changes anything. If Ousen's tactics were unable to change the outcome of battle then surely Chousou won't be able to come up with a plan that works against Seika.

The battle will be quite different because SBS will be stopped by Houken

So the battle will be way more tactic and the other fronts will be much more important to know the winner

The Bayou battle was quite different and not linear

here it’s a plain setting with both armies being in front of each other like in Hango.

Houken lives and dies to battle against other monsters. He won’t miss any chance of fighting the big ass giant with unbelievable martial aura.

Choupagang is probably on the same level as Houken’s generals tbh. Like I said, they gave him a 200k man army lol.

That’s just how hard even stronger standard generals get bodied by the Seika gang. lol

EDIT: Apparently his correctly translated name is Souhakou. lol

An incompetent and unexperienced general is an incompetent and unexperienced general. Doesn't matter his hierarchy position, political or military status:gonope:

But enjoy your recency bias

My money is on Seika winning this, high diff victory.

Biggest power gap between them is that Seika has a true GG that is a major morale amper while the Houken Army has a GG in name only. This is the main deciding factor for me.

You can’t be incompetent and inexperienced when leading a 200k man army. At the time of Bayou, Ryofui stated the only generals in Qin who could lead even a 100k man army were Ouki and Moubu. You don’t just give any general a 200k man army lol.

Souhakou leading a 200k man army is big portrayal for a general. He didn’t get negged because he’s incompetent, he got negged because Kansaro and Jiaga are that much stronger than standard generals. As are all Heavenly King level generals.
