[Regarding the Weekly Magazine Report]

This time, I, Tetsuya Furutani, was interviewed by Shūkan Bunshun. I would like to apologize and report on the serious crime I have committed.

I had a long-term extramarital affair with a female fan and was in this relationship for four years until September last year. I was immediately attracted by her support, and without hesitation, I initiated contact and started the relationship.

During this relationship, there were also moments when I lost control during an argument and became violent. It was the worst behavior I could have exhibited as an adult and as a human being.

Furthermore, I committed the unforgivable act of forcing her to have an abortion. I sincerely apologize for deeply hurting her both physically and mentally.

I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who supported me over many years for betraying their trust, disappointing, hurting them, and tarnishing my character. I betrayed the trust of everyone involved and caused them great distress.

What he did was despicable and he needs to take responsibility for it, but this statement is exactly what he needed to do (even if its possible that he was forced to do it) and what all men in his situation need to do. Take note that this statement is not something "courageous", this is just the BARE MINIMUM.

He made a first good step. I don't think that he needs to be fired (unless if he gets a jail sentence, which I don't think is really necessary in that case), but now, the best would be for him to redirect a part of his current pay toward helping this woman at least for a few years.

Force and courage to this woman.

At least his career at Toei is over. Reason: Business. Toei would not allow a Scandal to ruin their company. At the end of the day ist all about money.

Is Such scandal cancel worthy in Japan?



If it's about Money the Company wouldn't Force him to release the statement.
They will supress the news if anything else
