- After Luffy leaves Wano, he assassinates Momonosuke, Hiyori, and Yamato. Law then makes false medical analysis, placing the blame on Greenbull's poison plants and CPO, triggering Sukiyaki and the Scabbards to entrust him with Pluton's Master Key.

Luffy:

- Being shaken in Marineford that suffering is inevitable, shifting his paradigm and principles about life.

- Reformulated his ambition: freedom requires individual power, and freedom requires crushing the dream of his enemies.

- Luffy constantly invents self-training methods and also searches mythical artifacts, to powers him up as the foundation to be proper Pirate King. He also proceeded to learn from scriptures and old hermits, about strategies of war.

- Crushing his opponent's dreams should also mean crushing their hope to fight by any means (killing or crippling his enemy's family or friends, turning enemies against each other, taking or crushing his enemy's limbs or weapons, making permanent damage to his opponent's brainstem or spinal cord etc).

- Lays out important points from each group mission to Sanji,. Sanji act as the brains of the operation, while Zoro is trusted by Luffy and these two, to straighten up the crew members and alliances as a harsh reminder to stick to the mission, in case Luffy runs amok or the others deviate from the plan.

- Never tells anyone about his personal hidden mission (for example about a valuable artifact he wants to take to power up himself, an opponent he wants to target, a person he wants to control or save etc)

Characters actually die/gore.
Expanding upon the slavery and opression aspect but also showing how the good wg soldiers help people.
Buggy's character expanded on- he's depressed due to rogers death and stagnates in the east blue, shanks takes form roger and is ambitious
Mihawk also has depression but zoro and buggy "save" him from it
Implied sa and other stuff to boa when in marijoa
A little more focus on ship based battles
Walking the plank etc
Void century reveal might be seinen-esque
All I can think of for now

That swordsmen never kill anyone

That Zoro didn’t kill anyone is hilarious. You can’t take his power seriously which is why Oda is so failed in making this story so much about swordsmanship

*Dragon would have a more radical ideology and would endorse the assassination of celestial dragons and Kings.Nobody would be shocked by Sabo.
Katakuri would actually developed a grudge vs BM after Luffy's fight.Luffy would make him realize her narcissism and abusive tatics to keep her kids under a leash.
Big Mom would actually be sexy,smart,competent and narcissit.Making her way more scary.I would keep her beautiful despite her old age and actually use her sex appeal to seduce Kaido into an Alliance(in theory she call steal souls to keep her youth).
*I would set up Shanks as a traitor to Luffy,basically using him to become PK.
*Straw hat ships:LuffyxNami,ZoroxRobin,Sanji would bang ladys and leave kids behind in each island.
*Cipher Phol would be brutal criminals doing all sorts of shady things for the WG.
*Mihawk wouldn't train Zoro and would actually send him away to learn haki by himself.Mihawk would actually lose respect he had for Zoro.
*Admirals would have poor backgrounds and have suffered losses of loved ones in the hands of pirates.Thus making their will strong to grow up and become pirates slayers.
*Bounty Hunters would play a important role.We would see some chopped heads of pirates defeated by straw hats being handed over to marines for booty.Mihawk would not be a pirate,but a bounty hunter like Zoro.WG would still send SSG after him out of fear for his might.
*Law and Kidd would not be Luffy's cheerlanders.Law would be grateful to Luffy by defeating DD,but he would still see him as a rival.I think Oda is actually doing this.But Law should have a colder attitude towards the straw hats.
*Rocks D. Xebec would be a fucking animal/vermin and all mighty(stronger than Roger).
*Okama people would be as they are.

*Crocodile and Moriah would be cases of strong pirates losing their haki due to depression and mentall illness.
*Yamato:drop the "i'm Oden act" and make her more of a tomboy.She kinda is already.
*Vegapunk would be lunatic "Angel of Death Mengele" type of scientist.
*Kuina would have commited suicide(fell of the stairs means this in Japan).
*Less backstories for side characters and more adventure/exploration and philosophical presentation.
*Less stupid gags for badass characters like Vergo.That food thing was not funny,just lame.
I think seinnein One Piece would actually be worse.it would resemle game of thrones too much.I like the light hearted nature of the world Oda created.

This thread is weird. If you want one piece to be so different and edge mode why do you even like the series to begin with? Pretty odd, don't really get it

I would explore the consequences of the One Piece powerset and Luffy’s and Strawhats actions.
I would establish that slavery existed, not because of prejudice, but because people are born with assets better than others, especially CoC, which literally enslaves nobodies by itself.
Luffy’s crusade for freedom would end with him toppling the WG, and establish his flawed concept of freedom.
People will be forced to obey Luffy’s concept of freedom until he was weakened enough by age or dies, bonus point with Luffy stressing how he can maintain the order he created.
Luffy’s idea of freedom dies with him, and the world reverts to how it was before, Luffy dies, not solving the problem, which is inherent on how the One Piece world works, rather he was nothing more than the next tyrant. Maybe Koby finally gets a win? Nah, let’s give it to Smoker.

Zoro would actually have some backbone, and would stop Luffy with the whole WCI thing, Zoro, realizing that Luffy’s an incompetent captain, might lead to the death of the whole crew, challenges him for captaincy. Loses and fucks off from the story, to maybe appear in some spin-off, or some random chapters showing him beating swordsmen progressing steadfastly to Mihawk, just so Oda can milk Zoro fanboys.
A Strawhat dies in WCI, let’s go with Usopp as Oda forgot him, due to Pudding killing him, and Sanji hesitating due to his “moral” code.
Law betrays Luffy in Wano, due to having his crew held hostage, the marines are forced to interfere and stop the Big Mom+Kaidou coalition, so at least these two get treated better than losing vs newcomers.
Shanks crew is falling apart, due to the captain acting cryptic all the time, and wasting resources in order to journey and stop battles they have no business. Dies to either BB or Akainu.
Akainu abolishes the WG, and instates the marines as the sole authority.
Dragon, and, by extension the Revolutionary were on Imu’s payroll the entire time, in case people were fed up of the current order, Dragon’s “order” would shake things up for them.
Kizaru is Vegapunk, and helps the marines deal with the pirate problem fully now, as Imu wanted to preserve the world balance of pirates vs marines, to avoid finding out about them.
Blackbeard’s crew is constantly in-fighting, due to BB not understanding WB’s philosophy after he was on Rocks, they end up getting to Raftel, but what’s left of them end up fighting among themselves for the One Piece, BB ends up the victor, but tired, Luffy easily dispatches him. Hence Luffy fights Akainu to instate his own ideology of “freedom”.
Luffy’s pirate fleet he gets on Dresrosa would go on to attack, pillage, rape etc other places and annex them to Luffy’s empire, all this while he doesn’t know, of course.
