I don't mean a real alliance. I mean as in terms of Strawhats needing to fight both of the crews at the same time in the 3 crew battle royale for the One Piece.
This line up for the final fights to claim the one piece makes MUCH more sense
than these BUMS:
both narrative and powerscaling wise.
Shanks
Goofy beating Shanks who is just Roger 2.0 will be a heavy handed symbolism that he surpassed Roger and is worthy of being next Pirate King and their cringe promise.
Not to mention Goofy left Shanks as the last yonko he wants to beat by showing 3 fingers and closing 4th one.
Mihawk
Unironically the strongest case for this post.
Everyone with a half a brain knows that Cross Guild exists only so that Zoro could fight Mihawk. That's it. They have no other function. Oda created this crew and FORCED Mihawk to go after One Piece so that he could fight Zoro on Laugh Tale.
And Zoro has to become WSS BEFORE Goofy becomes PK, otherwise it will make Goofy look bad:
And since we know that Zoro beats his opponents faster than Goofy, Zoro will be WSS before Goofy beats Shanks and becomes PK.
Beckman
He makes sense for Sanji only due to powerscaling reasons and there's no one else strong enough left for either to fight.
Like it or not, Oda wanks Ben and gives him special treatment. Even as something as simple as him having his own solo rectangle while everyone besides Goofy and Shanks has to share:
Call him databookman, but it won't change the fact that it was said he was comparable to Shanks:
In the end making all 3 opponents for M3 similar level:
Shanks ~ Mihawk ~ Ben
Beating Ben will make Sanji stand shoulder to shoulder with Goofy and Zoro, just like Roger, Ray and Gaban did.
Fulfilling the "wings of Pirate King" shit.
Blackbeard pirates
They make no sense to be final fights for PK throne neither powerscaling wise nor narratively.
They only had chance with Kuzan, but anyone with a half a brain knows that Kuzan will leave and not fight for them in the end.
You can cope all you want about how strong BB is, but you can't gaslight me into believing bums like Shiryu and Lafitte are stronger than Mihawk and Ben Backman or even close to them. Zoro ain't gonna go from fighting Mihawk to fighting Janitoryu. Nor beating them gives anything emotionally nor narratively to Zoro, Sanji.
And obviously basic power progression means that weaker villains have to fall before stronger ones.
That's why it's only logical that after Elbaf, BB pirates are the next villains and they will fight for the 4th poneglyph.
People gaslighted this fanbase into believing BB pirates will fight Shanks and kill him because he's a mentor or some shit and that happened in other series, creating some generic "tragedy":
The ONLY way I can see BB pirates being fight after Shanks/CrossGuild and battle for the One Piece is IF they arrive to Laugh Tale after Goofy/Zoro/Sanji and everyone else finished fighting and they will use the opportunity that Goofy Zoro Sanji are half dead and exhausted.
This way powerscaling actually might make sense. Example:
Zoro being half dead and having to fight a weak but sneaky fighter like Shiryu actually evens out things. And BB can kill already defeated Shanks
