Speculations Shanks definitely snitched

#1
It wasn’t Shamrock who visited the gorosei, it was Shanks.

The gorosei said the guy shouldn’t be involved in politics. But Shamrock is literally a world noble, it makes no sense for the gorosei to say this to him.

Given the revelation about Teach being Xebec’s son, it’s very likely that Teach’s ability to have two DFs is directly linked to something Xebec did.

Given how big of a threat Xebec was, it makes a lot of sense for Shanks to snitch to the gorosei. Roger did ultimately end up defending the CDs from Xebec, after all.

Why should the CDs care about the politics of a world destined to be destroyed?

Not the CD, it's the Gorosei that cared about politics, The CD had their food imported from across the sea, and not just that, it's possibly they also taken one of their strongest warrior and IMO it came from the country that had to pay heavenly tribute to them or from the kingdom/country that are given invitation to Reverie. And in exchange, WG will gave them protection with Marines on them. Especially when we see Kaido's backstory about him getting "sold" As bargaining chips to Navy.

If they see some benefits with politics, for example like Kaido, and Kuma's too. Gorosei will do it and care for it.

There’s a reason why oda choose the same garb when he reintroduced Shamrock, it’s clearly supposed to be him.

HKs not being involved in politics is not weird, he’s a military asset
But it still a weird too, given Shamrock on his introduction seems like he didn't even care that much about pirates, he got a mission to retrieve Loki to become a HK in order to make Elbaph under WG's control.
He even called to world as a filthy, so I get why some people had a doubt of him being the one who request a meeting with gorosei talking about sum lowly pirates who he didn't care of. Plus the Guy that meet gorosei had the white collar, and not the black one (supposed to be since it's black in Manga) like Shamrock.

Ehhh the collar argument is silly now. Just pay attention to the cloak

The fact that we never see Shanks wear any sort of cloak with a hood (he wears a cape), and the fact that we literally Shamrock drawn in nearly the same way as Chapter 907 pretty much tells me it was Shamrock

Im not seeing Oda pulling a triple gotcha in a shonen aimed at teenagers. Ive come to accept that it aint that deep, because it almost never is.

Well, if its Shamrock, why would he dressed like that, he could just appear normally. That's my take
Could be that Shamrock, due to looking like Shanks, would have caused a commotion at the Reverie.

That is fair, but it still doesn't connecting with what he said to gorosei about certain pirate due to the fact that Shamrock seems didn't had any interest with "Mortal" World. And coincidentally the next chapter after "Shanks" Meeting with Gorosei, we see Pirate bounty poster being torn up by Imu and Gorosei talking about great cleansing.
Due to Shanks "obsession" to capture or defeat Teach, it's making me believe he is the one that talk to Gorosei, about 50%

I agree that the person who met with the gorosei was Shamrock but it's not that deep was also what was said when him not having the scar was all there was to go on

The design of the collar can easily be oda changing his mind about the HKs design. I think the cloak is the dead giveaway. Oda wanted us to associate Shamrock with the same figure that met the Gorosei.

so far the only HKs that appear to be in Marejois at all times have been Garling and Gunko. One was the supreme commander and the other appears to be Imu’s personal servant. I’m starting to think that the HKs are rarely over there and mostly traveling around the world collecting tribute

Yeah plus why would shamrock need to cloak himself and keep himself from being identified there when he's a god knight?

It's shanks because he's recognisable and distinguishable from shamrock due to his scars.
