I remember people used this argument against WB and it was already debunkable then.

Why has this resurface against Shanks now of all times? And including WB as an ally instead of being the target of defamation.

Unfortunately, the reasoning works for WB but not Shanks.

When Shanks went to Wano, he believed that Momo & Hiyori were still alive. He even had a montage remembering them as kids on the ship (along with Uta, but we don’t talk about that).

Shanks left them to suffer for decades and only showed up after Kaido was gone to act self-righteous.

It’s a pitfall that Oda made for himself, trying to make Shanks look like a saint but it only comes off as hypocrisy.

Even if all of them were to go to Wano, they would be defeated. The narrative revolves around Joyboy being the one to bring down Kaido, or the new generation that Oden pointed out would emerge 20 years after his death, and he made sure to state that they would be the only ones capable of it. Everyone else who attempted to defeat Kaido, no matter who they are, would be defeated.

Even without setting foot on Laugh Tale, Kaido knew who would defeat him in the future. The guy is truly the king of wisdom.

Azure Dragon vs Nika was always Fated to happen. Why do you think Shandians Sacrifice themselves for Blue Serpents? And Calgara's Daughter believed that She would be meeting Nika by doing so?

Not only that, but Noland was Calgara's Equal, however their Fight was ruined because of an Interference, which Oda repeated multiple times, Dorry & Brogy's Duel was ruined by Mr. 3, the same happened to Kaidou vs Oden, Zoro vs Killer, Luffy vs Katakuri & who knows what else.

The idea is clear, Original Nika was Killed by Original Azure Dragon due to interference from a Third-Party.
We already know that Nika existed before, and Ryugu Kingdom + Birka City + Shandians confirm that Azure Dragon also existed before (Real)

Shanks, WB, and Rayleigh didn’t even try

For Shanks specifically, the dude wanted to be pirate king. Yet he didn’t take down the man who murdered his nakama, choosing instead to scrub the Wano poneglyph off of Kid.

Luffy avenged Oden and he didn’t even know his ass, when people much stronger who were Oden’s nakama did nothing.

but his tendency to do nothing and bet on Luffy is straight up rat-ish behavior.

It ain't even just this, he did the same thing with Teach. Talks about how much he doesn't like Teach. Yet he never actually did anything to him. Could have killed him pre-skip before he got the gura gura no mi. At the very least he could have sent Beckman and Roo to backup Ace, yet his ass did nothing.

He could have also joined up with Marco and killed Teach in the payback war, but again he does nothing.

Its not even like Oda suggests a valid reason for any of this. Its just lazy writing. It allows Oda to use Shanks's hype to keep fans invested while not actually using the character in any meaningful way.

I agree with you about Wano specifically because Shanks believed that Momo & Hiyori were still alive but did nothing to save them and had the audacity to be wondering what they look like now.
That part is truly hypocritical and distasteful with his self-righteousness afterwards.

As for Blackbeard, by his own words he seems to be waiting for someone else to take care of him.

Assuming mihawk would accept his invite lol, you gotta remember that mihawk was busy running from strong fighters and bullying small time pirates, he didnt want to face an emperor crew lol.

Pretty high chance that mihawk never went to wano.

Whitebeard knew he was too old to beat kaido + didnt want to risk his family life on top of having the weakest yonko crew imo.

Rayleigh wasnt stronger than kaido and was also hiding from marines throughout the years.

Mihawk is the muscle or strength of Cross Guild. The fact Buggy is ready to claim One Piece because of Mihawk's is one of the greatest hype moments in the manga.


The belief Yonko were constantly fighting each other and the Marines over One Piece is false. That never happened. Yonko mostly hung out in their territory eating, drinking and party. BM and Kaido terrorized the local people.

Mihawk obtained the name Marine Hunter because he wasn't scared to go after and face Marines to prove he was the WSS.
