By your reasoning Mihawk couldn't even cut off a member of Shanks..But bb easily inflicts a permanent and big wound on Shanks..And Shanks and Mihawk fight goes back more than 13 years ago..And we know that Roger's prime was at the age of 38..It was just a comment to provoke me which was not successful

WHITEBEARD PIRATES COULDN'T BARE SHANKS and fact that they feared Mihawk was quite interesting since people who in theory don't fear Shanks were falling like flies when he got on the ship but not scared of Mihawk subbordinates. I think that Shanks saw in them potential since it is visible that he get many people on his ship: Rockstar being fresh rookie with a bounty who joined him was sent to WB and guy despite being rather confused and maybe even a bit afraid of him was ready to bark at WB. I think that RS might be not the first or the last one who was put in similar situations. Being afraid doesn't mean that they are not strong cuz we know that Shanks don't take anyone random on his ship but rather people with potential. I bet that Mihawk can send people flying, even his subordinates but there is a difference between crews, and it was not the first time when Mihawk got on his ship, even if it was circa 10 years ago. Many crews are way too full of theirself than careful.
Shanks is a very careful tactician and politician and that is his strongest perk. Even despite if he is a pirate, he comes to places to straighten up situations and grab what is his. Having bunch of wild pirates in the tense moments won't help him at all.
