While Teach too cares about his crew, but he is not emotionally attached to them, Teach's crew are just important to him because they are strong as he recruit only strong people to his crew, so Teach can be rational and logical about his crew, while Shanks is still emotional when it comes to his friends and his crew and can still make a mistake.
