If it comes to Garp vs Shiryu, all you need to know is that Shiryu aint gonna be the one to lose.
No Zoro opponent has ever lost before he fought Zoro and it wont start with Shiryu.

No BB pirate is beating Garp in a 1v1. They simply don't have to fight fair, I expect them to jump Garp as a group and for Shiryu to land cheap shots using his DF.

It is not impossible. Garp is old, likely came with a mind to sacrifice himself for new gen. Kinda like Shanks did for Luffy, WB at MF, so Shiryuu in hypothetical scenario can manage lethal hits with his team helping him, using some dirty trick.
But....


Who in right mind believe Oda going to let a Legend go down like this? At the hands of Shiryuu? Remember MF what death WB got?

This is why i believe Aokiji n BB will return, there's going to be more to this.

Garp dying here makes way more sense than not for story progression. I don't think Shiryu will do it though, not in a fair fight anyway. However also having Kuzan here wouldnt make it look right to cheap shot a top tier while another is present that I'm sure would never allow Garp to die so idk

If shiryu were to kill garp luffy would need to face shiryu in order to avenge his grandpa. It doesn’t add up.

Aokiji is weaker than shiryu. shiryu is also more suited to fight garp and even him can only hold his own and damage garp with his lethality. garp galaxy impact alone is enough to one shot aokiji mainwhile what will aokiji do to garp? freeze him? lol.

1. Shiryu enjoys Killing Prisoners
2. Koby promised to help Perona save Moria
3. Sword Squad can't Fight Titanic Captains
4. Garp can handle Multiple Commanders

So imo, Koby & few others will go to where Moria is Imprisoned
Garp will make sure No Titanic Captain follows them, so He will fight Vasco & Wolf
And since Garp is too Powerful, Pizarro will be forced to join in & thanks to his Island DF, They can survive a Short Fight against him
However, Shiryu can go Invisible & chase Koby & Co.
Something will happen near Moria Cell which will show where this Sub-Plot is heading

This is why i doubt Shiryu is gonna fight Garp
He is also a Sword User, i doubt Oda would draw Garp punching him, so it has to be a Clash & in that case, Shiryu needs Adv. CoC to do so
I doubt He has it, but even if He does, Oda ain't gonna reveal it now
Other Three however have Punchable Face & can suffer some De-Hype
