Not so much of a Shiryu fan he is powerful and badass yeah, but he won’t survive against eos Zoro in straight up combat strength and will rely on deception and tricks to put up a fight.
when it comes to Sanji not so much of overwhelming strength difference, but he would still take down Shiryu at that point in the story high diff max in the end Sanji is just smarter combatant and great CoO user.

Probably. Sanji has the unfortunate role of being the hype tool for powerful opponents because he's strong enough so the audience can be amazed at whoever defeats him easily and because he's weak enough whoever's fighting him won't be too terribly stressed at the moment.
Unfortunate, weird place for Sanji to be. But he got that in Punk Hazard, Dressrosa and Wano. Considering Sanji's the expert in invisibility, I fully expect him to have a run in with Shiryu and if they do fight, he'll have a repeat of what happened to him versus King or Doflamingo.

This is stupid. Shiryu uses a sword and for him to attack an unguarded Sanji would be a critical hit, but at the same time Sanji cannot take any relevant damage because he still has to fight his opponent. If Oda does something like this Shiry ap will come off as a joke or Sanji's resistance will be more valued
The same way Lunarians were used to hype Sanji's flames or to when King failed damage his Raid Suit in an all out move right after sneak attacking him?
Perhaps in the same way King sent Zoro flying while also hitting Queen's ass making it feel a little bit itchy?
In the worst case scenario, Sanji would get cooky in a clash by thinking he has the complete upper hand, then would get proven wrong by Shyriu by getting hit or countered somehow.
Which would certainly end up as a hype for both characters. Shyriu's ability with the Suke Suke no Mi and Sanji's CoO, speed or durability would all get hyped.
Thats how Oda uses the Monster Trio (especially Sanji) to hype another character, most of the time both characters come out of it looking good given the specific circumstances of their clash.
You guys need to change those standards, it isn't making sense anymore and you know it (has it ever made sense tho?)

His durability just with the Exoskeleton is so far out of this world and the Brachio Snake thing + Queen's sword shattering on Sanji's neck is more than enough to show this
Everything about current Sanji far surpasses Lunarian capabilities, he may not be just as good as a flame "on" Lunarian at tanking stuff, but given all the damage he took, just to faint for like 10 minutes after beating Queen, its not something to be slept on.

Oda outright says Sanji isn't a Lunarian lol. His ability to make fire was namedropped solely to introduce the concept of Lunarians, not the other way around.
There's zero connection between a Lunarian and Sanji using Ifrit Jambe, that's completely out of left field. Sanji can make hotter fire whereas King creates pseudo magma, a much more deadly ability.

It's literally a no named, random weak move. He uses it against Zoro and there's no fanfare, there's no massive paneling to show that Zoro fended off a powerful move from King. It happens during a conversation and is more or less in the background.

He even tosses Momo because King is literally on top of him and he can't guarantee his safety [X]. The fact Sanji's CoO is unable to keep up with an enemy literally grabbing him or Sanji is purposefully ignoring the massive black leather monster in his periphery is totally on him.

Many people have severely underestimated Shiryu's Suke Suke no Mi, thinking it is the same old mid tier fruit used by Absalom who was defeated by Sanji.
So what is the better way to show off that Suke Suke no Mi is actually very strong in the hand of competent user, than having the new, competent user fodderizing the character who have defeated the previous Suke Suke no Mi eater?
Oda will also show, in the hand of competent user, CoO is not the answer against Suke Suke no Mi's power. The character who not only defeated the previous Suke Suke eater but also has High Tier CoO will find himself hopeless and can't do shit against Shiryu and his awakened Suke Suke no Mi.
Well, coincidentally it goes along with the on going formula too. Everytime Oda needs a hype tool to show off "this villain is strong!", we all know who Oda always picks as the usual punching bag. Happened in every last arcs already from Vergo, Doffy, Judge, Yuen, Page One, King and Sera Jinbe.
