Tbf I don't think the door is completely closed and it's too soon to say that Power of Love will mean anything. In fact now that we know a conqueror isn't necessarily aware, we wouldn't be immediately able to understand what Power of Love means if it is relevant.

I never doubted he’d get CoC I just thought CoC being the answer to regen is lazy and surely Oda wouldn’t dehype Luffys CoC immediately after having it match Kaido.

That's also why a lot of them went hard on Power of Love existing since they were too scared of him getting Conq Haki so they found a way for him to get it without actually getting it.

I wanted Zoro to have it as a symbol, speaking for myself. The idea that it's a gatekeeping plot device is pretty underwhelming. It's like if Toriyama decided that, "only Saiyans can hurt ____"
