General & Others Skirmishes disguised as fights

All of those plots had importance.
Shanks movie wasn't gonna advertise itself so you need an excuse for him to show up + watching new admiral reveal negging commanders AS USUAL is always Nice.
Hancock was to show her strength and kidnap koby.
Cp9 showcase awakenings of regular zoans + seraphim information and DFs.
Law x BB was VERY important cause it destroyed any hope of law becoming pirate king.
BBP x garp is important for admiral power scalling + admiral haki demonstration + garp will certainly tie to god valley lore and BB as a king plot.

I am watching season 2 of the anime. I really liked the first season and the movie.
And the result of that was Lady Chiyo dying, a prominent side character of the arc you numskull. Imagine if Oda has the balls to do that. Go back creating two of your long threads detailing how shit One Piece has become, where you tagged me, just for you to delete a few months later because you don't want your new One Piece internet friends to think you hate it.

Every fight had a purpose, GB was another hype for Shanks (and of course for the movie), BB in Amazon lily seemed pointless at first but this brought to Garp vs Beehive, guess maybe it could be considered the same for BB vs Ace. The difference is that the fight was indeed a skirmish which was resolved in a few panels.
All that is happening in Egg head is just the arc build up, it happened in Wano with Zoro vs Killer, Luffy vs Kaido and so on.. the fights were needed to make the CP0 guys allies and the seraphim were there to stall and actually just to see them do stuff amd show their powers is enough, I doubt they will be beaten just because they are kids.
Also Oda doesn't go heavy on fights now even because Wano just ended and we had what?... 20 chapters or more of only fights? I don't know the exact number but if you count rooftop fight, SHs vs Kaido captains, Law and Kidd vs BM and Luffy vs Kaido you probably have way more than that, so it is right to not go in fight overdose, not everybody here is a vs fanatic, luckily. But actually it seems people now is enjoying OP way more than during Wano, I have seen anybody complain, so it seems the formula is good.

My thread isn't about Oda focusing on fights, instead it is about how his subplots are random and have no consequences. His so called fights are just skirmishes where everyone comes out fine. The only other manga that does this is Fairy Tail.

Get off kishis dick garps death 60x times more important than chiyos in every way. Black beard getting 2/4 Road poneglyphs is far more important than the akatsuki getting 1/9 tailed beasts. Those two skirmishes alone are more consequential than anything that happened in the Kazekage rescue arc
