I have no problem with him simping. I think it’s funny. I just think it’s insane that during the era that Roger became the first man to reach lodestar… his most notable trait is him wanting to kidnap Shakky.

The issue is how simping became Roger's identity in this flashback. I mean, there was one scene when everyone simped for Shakky but Roger? Dude simped for her 24/7. What are his ambitions? What was Roger aiming at that particular moment? Nah, he was just all about Shakky this, Shakky that.

Was there some sort of experience Roger gained by facing Xebec a few times? No.
So there's the only chance Roger will realise something after Xebec dies.

I expect flashback Dragon to be PK or at least high top tier level. I mean, he doesn't even have to kill an admiral. He still did nothing to rescue someone from his army, let alone that person being one of his trustful commanders.

Fisher Tiger neither had the ressources nor the individual power of Monkey D. Dragon and risked his life to rescue all the slaves in Mariejois. Isn't that true?

Maybe Dragon had a reason since he saw it in first hand how a pirate legend like Xebec died when he was putting himself in danger to save his family. Yet, it's baffling how Dragon didn't even try to rescue her. Like come on, you promised Kuma and Ginny they would be in good hands in your army. I get he's not their babysitter but like I said, she was a trusted commander who was kidnapped to be some pervert's (Garling) "wife". A simple "Sorry bro" to Kuma wasn't doing Ginny justice at all.

If even they don't want to go walk right into the home of their enemy like that then I don't see a reason for Dragon to do so with his small army.

Roger never had ambitions beyond that of the “childish dream” we don’t know tbh. He was just an explorer. He never wanted to be king of the pirates or attain the one piece cause neither existed.

Roger did everything purely by just stumbling into it.

That's nice and all but even then, the characters aren't going to have Dragon Ball scouters nor are they going to try to do the math in their heads to see if they can take on a force that large. The truth of the matter is, they don't know that much about the enemy, and even if they did, they can't possibly know enough to know they can take on all the Holy Knights plus whatever Admirals may be sent as a reinforcement. Unless you think that, for some reason, Shamrock's wife is just going to be wandering around Mariejois with no supervision whatsoever, despite them knowing that she was a commander of an organization that aims to kill all of them.
