Hi everyone, since Marco's bounty reveal, there have been a lot of discussions about other YC's bounties, so I thought to bring back something that Oda REVEALED in SBS back in volume 91. I've already brought this SBS section into the BOUNTY discussions before, but back then people were very sceptical and had a very negative reaction to this, but now we have a lot more information about their bounties, so let's try it again.

As you can see, Oda says that the bounties of the YCs directly depend on the bounty of their respective captains. The WG cannot determine their individual THREAT or STRENGTH level, so they give them their bounties based their captain's bounty.
And as of right now, it has been proven to be true, and I'm not saying that this is 100% true, cuz you know, Oda is the biggest layer in the world, but still, it has been proven to be correct as of right now. For example:
Whitbeard had the highest bounty amongst Emperors, so his right hand man has the highest bounty amongst commanders.
Now, let's make an experiment, I will show you the bounties of already revealed commanders in RELATION to their captains, and then we'll try to determine the bounties of the others based on the information that we have right now.

Oda words don't need to be proven they are facts

but this is true only 90% of times

=> His words are about people who are getting the vast majority of their bounty CAUSE they are a YC
=> People who were big shots BEFORE being a YCs are a different deal that's why Ben bounty > Marco bounty
=> so we can't be sure about King either we don't know much about him before joining Kaido

Average high bounty means MOST COMMONLY, OR AVERAGE OF THE ENTIRE BOUNTY OF THE CREW. it has nothing to do with Benn Beckman's bounty directly, it just means that the bounties of the rest of the crew aren't too far from Benn Beckman's bounty.

Kizaru considered particularly well of Benn but that doesn't necessarily mean he will feature a giga bounty I guess, since the reference was related to his power most likely as that was a combat field scenario, rather than simple level of danger which is dependant upon crimes committed, influence etc.

How large is the gap together?
Queen is the YC2 of Kaido and yet he just have 40mio less then Marco, even though Whitebeard bounty is more then 400mio then Kaido one. Ofc they get boost but also their individual performance is also important.

As example Shanks commanders or Blackbeards.
You don't believe by yourself that Ben just get 1B. In case the navy would mentioned King,Marco and Queen with high bounties and not Yasopp,Roo and BenBeckman, with isn't the case.

With means Ben/Yasopp/Roo getting save higher bounties then Marco and co in my opinion.

Same for BB crew. Shiryuu was a beast, someone who was the top class prisoner in Impel down even above Croco ans co. Alone Vasco,Devon and co have probably save bounties over 600mio pre ts since their where the most criminal pirates, beast who where cut of the world because they where such dangerous. I bet all these members of BB have easily over 700mio while his top 3 could have over 1.4B too.

That would be true if they joined the crew recently, but we know as a fact that both King and Benn have been with their captains for more than a decade. So I highly doubt about that, but we'll find out it later.

Blackbeard’s crew we’ll need to wait because they’re each captains of their own crews as well.

But for the most part I agree about higher bounty emperor ~ higher bounty commanders.

I think Beckman's bounty isn't a big deal, but the fact that every single crewmember from Shanks crew must have a high bounty value, so it heavily increases the crew average bounty

Perfect example are Pica/Trebol/Diamante. All occupy the same rank and same frozen bounty. But like Pica I think Katakuri is the strongest, given his CoC/FS, despite occupying the same rank.

Beckman is not a commander though. Thats the difference. Marco, King, Kata, Shiriew all hold the same rank as 3-16 other people. There is only 1 Vice Captain.

Would also make a lot of sense for the bounties of the Revo commanders to be lower than expected, since they operated separately and could be "appraised" properly, different from the YC's.

True, but honestly, Oda should've handled the YC1 bounties a bit different imo. There shouldn't be anyone between them, highlighting that the difference is based on their captains bounty.

- Kata ~ 1,3B
- King ~ 1,33 -1,35B
- Marco ~ 1,37B

The fact that another commander is so much above Kata is bad portrayal for him imo.
Jozu or Vista might potentially be above him as well.

or there be something in to his race

his bounty can be higher than Marco

a +1.37 bounty can saves King's hype

Only if you take bounties seriously, but I don't. For me, bounties have nothing to do with someone's strength level; one reason being that powe levels don't exist in one piece anymore; and second, is because bounties are just indicators of character's importance, the higher the bounty the more important certain character is.

If that's true then that means that King never had a bounty before joining Kaido's crew, and that by itself proves my point.

Race has nothing to do with bounties, otherwise Pudding would have an astronomical bounty.

What truly hurt Katakuri's portrayal is Apoo one shooting Luffy, something that Katakuri couldn't do. The complete removal of power levels from the story has damaged all characters in one piece, and the story itself.

It makes sense why Katakuri's Bounty is lower than the rest of the Yonko Commanders bounties when you factor in the size of Big Mom's crew, which is exponentially larger than other Yonko crews. Big Mom's crew has more people carrying out expeditions/raids, and is probably more difficult to keep track of. But if you add up the total number of bounty in the Big Mom pirates, including Big Mom, it probably crushes any other bounty total among pirate crews.
