- WG gives him the task to kill Xebec
- doesn't kill him and lets him go.
- WG refuses his proposal.
(God Valley happens)
- Harald and Bigmom agree upon a marriage proposal of Loki and Lola.
- Lola rejects him.

I mean if Lola didn't reject the proposal, He would be allied with a fucking Yonkou.

Which he could have already done with Xebec in the past. But bro found killing his best friend the best option.

This same Oden mistake altogether.

So much of the tragedy could have been skipped if not for dumb decisions.

Oden agrees to a 5-year dance.
Not asking for help from Whitebeard/ Roger Pirates.

I didn't really look into the Lola story but if there is an age issue I hope her age gets retconned

Post Harald's death, Loki should have lost his Royalty status and been thrown out of Elbaf.

First of all, thats Chiffon's mental image.
secondly, there could be giants who hated the peaceful elfab and supported loki.

Anyway, Meme only commissioned Caesar clown to make giants 4 years ago. Before that, she still had hope of reconciliation with giants. Chiffon said that after Lola rejected Loki is when meme completely lost any hope of reconciliation and decided to make giants with the help of Caesar.

Meaning Loki proposed to Lola around 4 years ago. We know Loki has been locked up for 6 years. Taking into account the time meme took to find alternate methods to make giants, and contacting Caesar etc, we can say that she lost hope of reconciliation around ~6 years ago. Which matches with Loki's imprisonment timeline.

Harald was long dead by that point.

People always find a way to put Oden in everything. Just shows how great of a character he actually was.

Oden not asking for help is not a dumb decision but a pride one. Not only that he believes Samurai needs to solve things on their own instead of always needing for foreign protection. But of course Oda sets up this kind of plot and throws it away because at the end they needed foreign help and not only from the minks.

Oden 5 years dance still prevented lifes to be taken during that time. Sure it allowed Kaido to form his army when Oden finally confronted him but his principle was still on point. But is like Churchill said “You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war.”

Harald at the end is too naive, sure Rocks might not been the greatest choice, but the WG would never see Elbaf and giants as a proper country, they're just a place for the WG to breed strong dumb warrior for them to use.

Harald was a little wiser in accepting a alliance through marriage with BM, giving him the backing of a Yonko, but that didn't work.

It's a tough call, because Elbaf wasn't self sufficient enough, without the help of the other countries the giants were screwed.

It's was a bad hand from the start, we don't know if they really could had defeated Imu.

At least I think Harald situation is more sensible and logical than Oden mess

Killing Xebec was a mess too, but we don't k kw if he could had achieved that anyway, but yeah he chose his friend over his country, when he was deep down on WG alliance path
