Akainu ripped off half of WB head.Newgate landed clean and failed to do any serious damage to Akainu's head.

How it hypes Akainu when Oda chooses his element to put the unkillable Kaido to rest ? Is that really a question?

Also, where is the notion that Kaido was floating on top of the Magma for a week?

To me it looks Kaido started disintegrating immediately after he got chucked in the Magma pool.

I don't understand why people are giving clout to Akainu because Kaido and Big Mom might have died to magma. Kaido was unconscious so we can infer the same for Big Mom, so they weren't defending themselves in any way. Every single fuckin character in the entire series would die after being submerged in magma if they were unconscious. It's not hot water. If Kaido or Big Mom fought Akainu legitimately I don't know if they would win, but magma punches or whatever wouldn't kill them since they would be haki'd up and on guard. Kaido being put to sleep and then smashed into molten lava is not the same as awake kaido with haki defense being hit by a magma punch from Akainu.

Crediting them potentially dying to magma does not hype him up.

Perhaps it's not a week

Even if Oda chooses lava it doesn't change much, if Kaido is conscious and intends to defend against lava/magma with Haki he will be fine.

It's no different than Shanks blocking Akainu Magma Fist with a mere sword.

This would only hyped Akainu if Kaido was conscious and failed to defend himself against the lava.
