I have always cared way more in terms of power level for Kaido than his character. I think it was decent. There are definitely bunch of issues though. As for character and story , oda has been mid for Kaido.

Wano arc was horrible writing . Egghead was great comeback from Oda .

I think what could be realy interesting there is the truth about the world . Kizaru probably never heard of it.

Think it will add more depth to kizaru’s character down the line, wouldn’t be surprised if he goes into a deep depression and retires/betrays the marines following this.

I read an interesting theory that because Vegapunk seem to know this would happen after calling Dragon, there’s gonna be a Dumbledore and Snape kind of scenario on Kizaru and Vegapunk’s pre-Egghead flashback after this.

We may get Bonney using distorted future: Dadan-ish future where she’s beating up Kizaru going “why did you let Vegapunk die?!?”

then Doll would go “can’t you see that Borsalino is the one that’s suffering the most?”

then Dadan-ish Bonney replies “no, Sentomaru is the one that’s most suffering!”
