Questions & Mysteries So the World Government simply hired two yonko-level fighters through a draft?

If admirals are going to be depicted as powerhouses comparable to yonkos, isn't it odd that the WG was able to fill Akaino and Aokiji's place by a draft? As if yonko-level characters are just lying around to be picked. Or maybe yonkos are not as strong as we thought- and the sky-splitting feat is just for the show?
Whitebeard at Marineford was just pure hype, right? The marines could have won the war easily, but didn't and had their entire base destroyed because admirals decided not to take the war seriously.

It is a bit odd, yeah. It'd have made more sense if they were referred to the position by other high-ranking marines, like we've seen happen in the past. Or at least show that they had some previous history with the company marines, and didn't immediately get hired as Admirals

Would make much sense if these dudes were actually military men from some other nations. Kinda like how Dressrosa had Pell and the dog guy or Fishman island had Jinbei.
Pretty sure such strong dudes freelancing around would get slapped with a bounty and labeled criminals after some self defense incident

Cliche argument ffs

The WG did a Military draft and these two got elected as the strongest and they was given an extremely powerful fruit to power up. That's pretty much logical enough
It's never been stated that they got fed the fruits anywhere. The community jumped into that conclusion on their own.

Marines wanted to get their hand on BM and Kaido, you'd think they have their eyes on other BM and Kaido's out there i mean there should be another 2-3 freak of natures

The WG gave CP9 their DF so its common sense that they also gave the marines

dont really see an issue here. Yonkos are powerful/influential pirates. Doesnt mean there cant be non-pirates with similar power or anything. And 2 people out of the entire planet really doesnt mean "yonko level characters are just lying around to be picked". Thats, like, some major reach you got going on there.

Good catch on the 3 yr thing.
People misinterpreted Doffy when he was scolding Fuji about him using power. It was pretty clear Doffy was talking about Fuji's conduct and not his use of the devil fruit
Nah man fuji just got his fruit

Fuji was already admiral level without his fruit , which shows his strength

So, the fact that random pirates like Crydo, Big Meme, Odum, Weakbeard, Weakbeard Jr. (Weevil) etc are just born stupidly super strong for no reason isn't enough to prove that? Lol
Not all strong people choose to be pirates.
And even those who choose to be pirates need to compete against each other, remember level 6 in ID is full while Luffy and Ivankov are level 5 lol
The Yonkou are nothing special

I mean we saw how they to conscript Kaido so it’s not out of the question that some kingdom had strong fighters that weren’t associated with the WG
And this is why I'll always prefer yonko>navy.

The navy has too many brainwashed fighter slaves and I don't like that.

An other possibility is that Greenbull was a máster swordman and ate his fruit 3 years ago. 1 year before the Marineford war is not that much time.He said to Issho that he hasn't eaten anything for 3 years.So..

This seems like a bad arguement made by people who can't comprehend that the One Piece world is far bigger than the Grandline

We don't know what made Fujitora blind himself. We don't know where Greenbull is from.

Yes why not? The WG keeps an eye on kingdoms around for strong characters, it's how they tried to buy BM or forcing the Kingdom Kaido was serving to sell him out to the WG for his strength.

But the global military draft was probably more upfront and Akainu making it clear that he needs manpower with missing admiral spots, at least I imagine it like that.
