Speculations So this is why Domi Reversi doesn't work on Luffy and Loki

#1
When Imu appears at Elbaf through Gunko and says he wants to show what it means to be ruled by a god, he uses the same wording in japanese that Rayleigh uses back at Sabaody when he asks Luffy if he’s ready to rule the New World as the Pirate King.

Luffy replies that he has no intention of ruling anything, because the Pirate King is the freest man in the world.
I think this is where we can find the reason why Imu couldn’t use Domi Reversi on him.
At the point where someone starts seeking power through a deal or any form of submission in order to achieve their goals, “Maki” can take hold.
That’s where people like Harald fall into it. His intentions were good, he wanted to help his people, but he still chose to rely on something that required a form of exchange.
Luffy would never make a deal with anyone to obtain freedom for himself or for his friends.
He wants to be free, he wants his friends to be free, and he achieves that on his own terms.
Neither Luffy nor Loki are drawn to power, and they don’t have desires that could corrupt them. Their purity is what makes them free from Imu’s dominion.

Imu: Humans... are creatures that desire strength...[TL NOTE: Imu says "人" = "Hito" = Humans, People, Mankind, Person]
Imu: However, the “power” one longs for can be obtained all too easily… through “DEPRAVITY” (CORRUPTION)!! Submission born from mutual interests — a “CONTRACT” (COVENANT)!! And the envious “DEMONIC AURA”* needed to make it happen!!! [TL NOTE: written in Kanji as "魔気" (MAKI = DEMONIC AURA). Written in hiragana as "ちから" (chikara) = "Power"]
Imu: When these three become one… It's called "DOMINATION"!!! (支配 = shihai)

That’s why the Ancient Kingdom was considered dangerous. Clover says that it wasn’t erased because of its weapons or because it was too powerful, but because of the ideology it carried.
Vegapunk was essentially recreating at Egghead the core idea of the Ancient Kingdom: a vision of progress, welfare and a future for a free humanity, where wars would no longer be driven by greed or envy because energy would be infinite and accessible to everyone. The idea of the Ancient Kingdom seems to have been a world free from destructive desire and corruption. A world that someone like Imu could not dominate. A world where everyone is like Nika.
