People say stuff like “we’re not even sure if logias can awaken.”

But if you go though every discussion of awakenings in the entire story, it’s never singled out to just Zoans and Paramecias. There’s 0 reason to think that the other two classes would get it and not logias.

I can see only two possibilities:
1. Oda is lazy and is going to kind of just ignore it (very possible)

2. it’s being saved for someone specific (Dragon? Akainu?) to distinguish them from other top tiers

3. the DC/AOE is substantial that Oda won’t use it until we have a massive war in multiple territories

i think it's like the powers Karasu demonstrates with his Soot-Soot fruit. Not only can he do normal Logia stuff, he can split off parts of his body and they individually have their own consciousness linked to karasu's core self. He can have soot stuck to Sabo's clothes 50 miles from his real body and still see, hear, talk to sabo, transform just that part of soot into a crow and control it independently etc.

kizaru sort of did the same things with his hologram clones but they were all in the same area.

Oda wrote himself into a corner with the "Logias can only be natural elements" bs. Logias are supposed to be less rare than Mythical Zoans, but it turns out there's more mythological creatures to draw upon than there are "natural elements"

I'm just saying it's ridiculous when the rule is 'it has to be a natural element' even though we have shit like candy raining down from the sky right after Thriller Bark and plants that can grow hamburgers and ramen bowls complete with chopsticks. Might as well have just made him a logia and say that there's an island where mochi grows naturally because fuck it.

Katakuri was a logia in the original weekly release and I'm convinced that "special paramecia" was something an editor came up with because he thought kids would get confused about mochi being natural.
