Which one of these blokes are more fitting to be Sanji's opponent?:Dono_Fui:

Case for Saint Sommers:

- A user of the Thorn Thorn no Mi, making him a Thorn human. (which parallels the vine dude that Sanji defeated in One Piece Film Z)

- Talks about "Love is Passion" like Mike O'Hearn's "What is Love, Baby don't hurt me" meme except that Sommers is saying it in a bad way.

- Bro enjoys seeing parents getting killed in front of the kids. A contrast to Sora sacrificed herself to save Sanji's emotion and humanity.

- Blud is a gourmet connoisseur due to the fact that he thought of Asphalt salt in his dream, which is a high quality rare type of salt.

- Has hairy ass legs just like Sanji.

- A pervert just like Sanji. Bro was pantless in front of Gunko.

Etc.


Case for Saint Kilinham:

- Quirky/gag personality.

- Has a trident which is a big ass fork if you really think about it.

- Might awaken Evil Sanji as Sanji's fear.

- Wear a gas mask as parallel to Sanji's mask during his childhood at Germa castle.

Unless they summon all the remaining Holy Knights, I agree. He will get a 1 vs 1 fight only if every (most) strawhats do.

Saint Sommers does look like the perfect opponent for Sanji, at least thematically, but the sword is ominous. Never trust CL²³Oda

I'm also really afraid of Sanji killing one member of Ju Peter family, as I keep saying I love the Farmer but I want Sanji vs Saint Mars :parkcry:

Sommers seems like he's an ideological enemy of Sanji.

I think Oda is going to make Zoro fight fucking Gunko. She's obviously strong but I hate her design.

If Usopp gets his moment in Elbaph, it'll be against Killingham on some Perona redux shit, only this time Usopp will prove himself as a "Brave Warrior of the Sea" or something along those lines that involve conquering his fears. Maybe he'll get to use CoO to hit his target.

Oda has (supposedly) planned this arc for 25-30 years. Sanji will get a fight.

Sommers does make most sense atm. Aside from what op mentioned, He was also talking about the starving celestials in his intro and so is involved with food.

Sommers also seems like the main one to hurt Gaban later in the arc, as the whole parent can't even hug their child without dying could be foreshadowing for Gaban. Which then having Sanji save his Old parallel could be a huge moment.

I still believe Loki is the main antagonist of this arc and shamrock will come back

There's a chance he won't get a 1v1 fight. Sanji doesn't get many fights in general and with so few enemies it's hard to think Oda will waste time with a full fight with him. He might still have a moment against the old man, but unless more HK come along I don't expect a full fight in Elbaf.

These days oda don’t give full fight except for luffy and zoro

I think he gave up writing fights for the crew

One interesting thing is how Oda is moving Sanji around so he won't encounter his parallels too soon in the arc.

First he didn't follow Nami and go meet Gaban.

Then once Nami returns, Oda has him leave the group that is heading towards the HK now, to go to where Loki is despite having no plot relation there (this chapter he doesn't even know what's going on, or who Loki is).
