So last guesses... Who will it be?

How on earth is not obvious it is Gaban?
- Silhouette matches him and you can see his glasses in the raw scans.
- Shanks said he was surprised to see old friends in Elgar.
- Crocus is drinking with him and laughing indicating familiarity. Also in the next cover story he sees Rayleigh also a past crewmate.

Shiki doesn’t look anything like the silhouette, plus why would Crocus be happy to see him.

Yorki looks nothing like the silhouette and is presumed to be dead. Also why would he have knowledge of the road poneglyph.

Xebec is explicitly stated to be dead. Also, why would Xebec be carrying the Road Poneglyph so this long?

I think Scopper Gaban is a character that it was mostly hyped by fans for some reason but it was never meant to be important for the story.
I think it is Xebec or The Man With Burned Scar if they are not the same person

I agree with some of em the guy with Crocus is probably Gaban but it could be anyone at this point . Oda loves to playing around .

It makes sense Crocus having booze with Gaban who are old time pals . He won’t be excited seeing Shikki as he was rival to his captain but I would want it to be Shikki because him being there adds more to sinister he is cooking up big .

I want to keep open mind hoping it’s Shikki .

The only real point would be a lore dump about the Void Century is what I imagine. The only people who know the history of the world are the Roger Pirates. When Vegapunk discussed that, he didn't leave anyone out of it. He referred to them all. Not just Roger or Rayleigh.

In 2025, the Year of the Snake in the Chinese calendar symbolizes wisdom, elegance, and transformation. It encourages personal and professional growth, focusing on long-term plans, creativity, and intuition.

But, a complete New character would be fun too. To be honest, I would rather have the Marine Zodiac signs completed with a new Marine associated with a Snake, or this Year of the Snake thing be a hint for Loki's devil fruit many people brought the Idea of the world serpent. We will see if Oda planned anything like that.

Maybe this will have no meaning at all. Hopefully, we get some hints or tease during the Jump Festa for what's to come in 2025—
