He is definitely one of the very strongest (of his generation) and he is really underrated.
If oda doesn't use him in the next 3-4 years, even Franky will be the favour in a fight between the two lol

So I said Kid doesn't give a shit about Haki and you say he uses (observation) Haki all the time, but proof is irrelevant. Lol.

Bottom line is Oda can, but he can also make any other ass pull happen and it doesn't mean he should. If he wanted to, he would have shown Kid being decent with Haki in some way before it most likely, but he didn't because that's not his idea for the character. What's irrelevant is bringing Yamato into the argument, and generally irrelevant are the fanfic ideas that are coming up about a character who isn't written that way by its creator.

If Kid's role was to fight a calamity, then just awakening would be fine.

He is not supposed to play some special role.

Kid not only had a special role, he had one of the most important roles in wano, beating linlin, and Oda executed it horribly because he didn't give Kid(or Law) the tools needed to do so. So he used plot to handicap linlin.

He did make Kid look as impressive as Law. They both had Awakening, Kid actually fought Big Mom more, Kid actually fought her face to face and Oda gave Kid’s attacks priority by giving them doublespreads and making him the one to land the final hits each time.

They both get shat on by Luffy but are basically equals with each other.

Law did the most damage to Linlin, his attacks had the most impact. Kid tanked Linlin's attacks more but we never saw her use ACoC offensively so Oda basically undermined Kid's main role in the fight.
