I have been a fan of One Piece for more 12 years now. Love the series but i felt Wano arc was rushed and there were too many sets up with no pay offs. I also feel that Oda wrote himself into a corner with Kaido and Big Mom. It was great to have these two emperors allied but the execution was not there in my opinion. In this case, here is my take on Wano. Thank you for whose who will read this.
Wano - my changes- please be informed that this is my opinion.
First thing I would do is to remove Big mom completely from Wano.
Two yonkos allying should have been unstoppable for the alliances. For me the best choice of action should have been to hint at it but to never let it happen.
Also, the story should have focused on kaido only. Big Mom felt out of place in wano. She already got her arc. We should have focused on Kaido only and his story and how he became this violent beast.
This is my take on wano:
Big Mom should not have reached wano in time in the first place. As usual Luffy will try to attack Kaido and get owned in one hit. Luffy is sent to Udon where he meets Kid. Udon is hell and Queen make sure to torture Luffy by making him overwork. ( not realizing he is building luffy muscle and raw strength in base form). Kid is having the same treatment. Luffy met the old man who helped him mastering haki. (The usual stuffs)
Yamato should be the one to free luffy from Udon by causing a chaos. In this case no amnesia baby big mom. Here yamato is destroying Udon by coincidence and we do not get an interaction with luffy and yamato. At this point of the story, yamato and luffy do not meet.
Yamato should be introduced at the start of Wano as a neutral and mysterious character hiding behind a mask in the shadow and seeing the SHs entering Wano. Yamato can be this character who works in the shadows and is causing trouble to the beast pirates like destroying their bases or ships but who is very difficult to capture. It will also add some good mystery to Wano. We will ask who this mysterious character is and ask the reasons why this character is going against Kaido. Also the mask that yamato is wearing could deformed her voice to add to the mystery to make her sound like a monster. Yamato in this case would be her own character with own personality and not oden. Of course she would greatly admire oden because Oden managed to wound Kaido and gave him a scar. Yamato will still be declared as the son of kaido as kaido raised her as a man. Since Yamato has eaten the fruit that Kaido took a long time to gather as a child, he cannot just kill her and is trying with great efforts to break her mind. Also Yamato has cuffs, preventing her from leaving Wano. Yamato will be an expert in stealth in this case that required someone with great observation haki to find her, characters like Kaido, shanks, Katakuri and Luffy at some point. She developed this skill of erasing her presence as she had to continuously evade the beast pirate. After Udon Prison Break, Kaido would finally find Yamato and there would be a fight. In this case, no dialogue between these two ( this shows how distant these two have become). Yamato lands some good hits but is knocked down ( remember that she has seastone handcuffs). After Kaido has beaten Yamato referred to Yamato as trash. Kaido asked his men to put stronger chains on "this trash" and to bring Yamato to onigashima. There they would inflict stronger tortures to break Yamato's mind this time. Kaido then said that Queen has finally managed to design a seastone handcuff with explosion strong enough to kill Yamato if she were to leave Onigashima. Here, Kaido will hint that he really wants Yamato as a subordinate but Yamato has to be stopped and this is the ultimatum. Yamato has to join or die if she tries to leave Onigashima. With the new handcuffs, Kaido is sure that Yamato won't be able to leave Onigashima and he made it clear to his men to make Yamato knows about this.
Yamato has caused trouble in Udon, destroyed half the prison, knocked down queen. During this, luffy takes advantage of the situation and escapes while also freeing most of the prisoners. Just like what we have in the original manga, some red scabbards were heading to Udon to free luffy. They arrive at Udon which is half destroyed, luffy and Momo reignite the samurais' spirit and give them another will to fight.
Luffy trained his Haki to be able to defeat Kaido.
The story goes as usual, with the alliances infiltrating Onigashima. Yamato managed to escape again and Kaido tasked the tobi roppo to capture yamato with the same reward as in the original. Here it is revealed Yamato is kaido's son at this point of the story, kaido said it himself. Since Yamato wears a mask all the time, NO one knows the real face of yamato. Later it is revealed that Kaido forced yamato to wear this mask and she is like the character in the movie " The Man in the Iron Mask". Yamato cannot remove the mask and Kaido did this because kaido is ashamed to have a daughter and wanted a son. The alliance is infiltrating the territory and the scabbards are aiming for Kaido's head. Later, Yamato helped Luffy with Ulti and allied with Luffy after hearing that Luffy had come to fight Kaido. Luffy helped Yamato by removing the handcuffs. The handcuffs exploded destroying half of the castle. At this point Yamato is 100% determined to kill Kaido and no longer considers Kaido as her father.
The Scabbards will fight Kaido on the roof after landing a surprise attack on Kaido. They will get destroyed but they will put up a good fight by wounding Kaido. We should have some deaths like Kiku and Ashura. Luffy arrived to find most of them injured. Law arrived with Kidd and Zoro. Yamato at that time was tasked with protecting momo. Yamato gives momo the journals of oden that she has saved from the fire during that time. She has read it as she thought the kozuki were all dead. Then she places momo and shinobu in a safe place after realizing that Kaido is lifting onigashima. She informed them that Kaido is literally moving Onigashima to the Flower Capital. Yamato tells Momo to hide as she is going for Kaido.
Luffy, Zorro, Kid and Law fight Kaido with Law teleporting them around the battlefield to avoid dangerous attacks. Even they are rivals Law, Kid and Luffy are forced to work together. Law acts as support and quickly identifies weak points on kaido informing the others where to attack to deal most damage. Law also used gamma knifes and other strong attacks to severely damage Kaido internally. Kid acts as mostly defense with all the metals he has gathered while moving to the top of Onigashima, creating great walls of iron that protect them when in need while also attacking Kaido to deal some damage. Then we have Luffy and Zoro who will be the main source of raw damage. As usual, Zoro would force Kaido to dodge attacks at this point. (Kaido does not need Big Mom to say dodge. Kaido is experienced enough to know what attacks to dodge) Kaido should have been this raid boss that everyone is trying to kill.
NOTE: Kanjuro is killed by Kiku at the start of the war and no revival. Orochi is killed by Kaido while he was explaining about taking wano for himself and that he does not need Orochi. Orochi is killed in front of everyone and there is no revival. We have Drake vs Appoo, with Drake killing Appoo. Hawkins vs killer, killer kills Hawkins. The scabbards are done for after fighting Kaido, they are severely injured and most are unable to move. Law teleports all the Scabbards to a safe spot where the alliance could treat the wounds of those who are still alive. Kinemon is the only one who is still able to walk even heavily wounded and goes to find momo and stay there to protect him. He will mostly fight lackeys at this point while making his way to momo.
In this case, we have Marco fighting both king and queen ( mostly holding them) doing some good damage on them. Chopper uses Monster Point to help Marco by holding Queen. Then Sanji arrives to help Marco and Chopper after being rescued by Robin from Black Maria. Black Maria vs Robin. Robin wins but is unconscious after the fight, Brook found her and took her to safety. Page One and Ulti vs Nami and Usopp ( rescued by Tama). Jinbe vs Who who, Jinbe wins and goes to help Nami and Usopp. Brook also goes to help Nami and Usopp. Nami , Usopp and Tama run away while the animals Tama brought with her, slowed down ulti and page one. Jinbe arrives followed by brook and save Tama' animals.
Nami and Usopp act as support while Jinbe and Brook provide the damage to ulti and page one. Page one and Ulti are defeated. Nami, Usopp,Brook and Jinbe then proceed to help Tama to turn most of the gifters into allies and then fight the remaining beast pirate army. As for Jack, he fought the whole Sulong army by himself on the roof and he defeated most of them before falling (carrot, wanda and some minks are there but they are heavily wounded). Franky vs Sasaki. Franky won and went to help the alliance.
***No queen infecting his own army with frost/oni virus or baby old chopper. We could still have Queen trashed talk the waiters as there are no longer smiles. With some turning against Queen.
Though the supernovas are standing their ground, Kaido proves to them that he is the superior fighter. As much as the supernovas are attacking Kaido, they still feel at a disadvantage as they should always keep in mind that an attack from kaido could be enough to end one of them. This is proven as true when Kaido shows that he has something up his sleeves.
At some point, Kaido prepared to use a very powerful attack that could eradicate all the supernovas if it lands. Kaido prepared himself, taking some time to concentrate. The supernovas feel that this is going to be the end of them if they get caught in this attack. Law immediately launches giant rocks on Kaido but the rocks cannot get past CoC lighting surrounding Kaido as he is charging up. Law realized they cannot approach Kaido right now and advised the others to stay away from kaido. Kid asked Law to just teleport Kaido off the island, to which Law replied that the Haki of Kaido is too powerful and that he can barely influence the area around Kaido. As Kaido is ready to launch this powerful attack (which is similar to the Kaido and Big Mom combined attack in the original manga) , Law uses room and creates a small crack on the ground underneath Kaido's right foot. This causes Kaido to lose balance and for his attack to go a little to the right but not enough to be safe for the supernovas. Since they cannot dodge this attack or counter it, Zoro jumped in and blocked the attack only for a few seconds for law to get them all out of the way. Zoro is heavily injured but can still move. Law is surprised at Zoro for blocking this attack and can see that Zoro has taken a lot of damage just by blocking this attack. Law realized that they were able to get through because Kaido's attack went a little to the right and not directly at them. In a bubble thought, law asked what is this monster they are facing.
Kaido is gasping for a short moment after launching this all out attack. Kaido then said very good to the supernovas for surviving this. We then saw half of the Horn of Onigashima that was caught in this attack is gone, reduced to dust.
Luffy charged on kaido head on as he sees kaido is taking his breath. Kaido lands a big hit on Luffy that KO'ed him. As Kaido is going for the kill, Zoro intervenes and severely damages kaido. Zoro wounded Kaido by giving his all and demonstrated he had CoC. Kaido prepares to attack Zoro but kaido is hit by kid in the head. Kid also is knocked down after landing a big attack to prevent Kaido from attacking Zoro. Zoro is exhausted from using enma and cannot move at the moment. Kaido attacks both Law and Zoro with a thunder bagua. Luffy recovers and understands how to coat his attacks with CoC and also how to defend himself with CoC after thoroughly observing Kaido. Luffy attacked Kaido and we got these awesome panels of Luffy attacks not touching Kaido but still dealing a great deal of damage. While being attacked, Law used a technique to absorb most of the thunder bagua damage from earlier. He managed to protect zoro too and teleport zoro to safety who is exhausted from enma and is wounded from taking some damage from a thunder bagua and also blocking kaido's attack.
Luffy fights Kaido for a while and is able to stand his own but has not mastered CoC coating yet as kaido and luffy is soon overwhelmed by kaido. Luffy is knocked down again and this time Yamato intervenes before kaido can finish luffy for good.
Zoro being completely exhausted from using enma is teleported by law to the alliance where he is treated. After some treatment, Zoro is healed back to health and decided to help Sanji. Marco is exhausted from holding king and queen together and also providing some healing to the whole alliance with his flames. Marco has dealed some good damage on Queen and King but he is at his limit now. Chopper has reached his limit and is unable to move for the moment. Sanji is now holding queen and King but with extreme difficulties. Zoro intervenes at some point and takes on King.
Zoro and Sanji defeat their opponents but are exhausted and are unconscious now after their long challenging fights. Franky will carry zoro to safety and Sanji is nursed by the woman with the mouse after protecting her from Queen. Those 2 will be unconscious throughout the war.
(I will leave zoro and Sanji fights the same. I will just remove this panels of Zoro and death. I did not know what was happening there.)
Yamato is holding her own and damaging Kaido heavily. They are exchanging blows while Law is providing medical treatment to himself, Kid and Luffy. Kaido at this point is carrying Onigashima just like in the original manga. At some point Yamato's mask is completely broken due to the blows of kaido and it is revealed Yamato is a woman by gender. Since she was treated as a man by Kaido, she acts as one. Yamato is soon overwhelmed by Kaido's fighting experience and is on her knees. Kaido proceeds to knock Yamato on her back and to repeatedly hit Yamato with great force( like in the original). Law and Kid who are able to move again decided to give it their all and to use their awakening. Both attack at the same time and protect Yamato who was about to be defeated. They severely damage Kaido, sending Kaido flying and causing him to fall from Onigashima. Law and Kid fall down and are unable to move. Yamato is exhausted but can still move, she took a rough beating and is covered in blood. Luffy woke up and regained his Haki. The combined attack of Law and Kid has severely damaged Kaido making him lose consciousness for 1 sec before transforming into a dragon and making his way to the roof of onigashima. Kaido arrives and is furious but also happy that it has been a while since he was wounded like this. We then saw a big wound around Kaido's chest, bleeding excessively.
Luffy who just woke up has no choice but to fight Kaido as the others are exhausted. We then have a 1v1 where Luffy uses G4 and alternates between gear 4 forms. Snake man to be more agile and to dodge kaido extremely fast attacks. Tankman is used to counter attacks of kaido that cannot be dodged and that Luffy is forced to take head on. Boundman is used to deal extremely high damage to the area Law and Kid have attacked Kaido previously. With CoC coating and training before, luffy is more efficient with his Haki usage and has complete mastery over G4 now. Luffy is also able to hold G4 forms longer than he used too. With CoC coating, he is now able to deal more damage to Kaido while also protecting himself. Law and Kidd are unable to move and Yamato is forced to take them to safety while Luffy is fighting. Yamato also realized that Onigashima is going to fall.
Luffy is standing his ground and demonstrating that he is no joke, landing big attacks while dodging Kaido attacks. With Kaido being tired, Onigashima starts to lose height until it is very close to the ground. Luffy lands a big hit on Kaido wound and causes the clouds around Onigashima to disappear. Onigashima falls very near to the Capital which alerted the people of Wano. Seeing the war going on, the wano people decided to stop partying and to take their weapons and to go fighting. With the people of Wano, the gifters turned allied and the samurais, the beast pirates are soon at a disadvantage in number at this point of the raid. Soon the beast pirates armies are overwhelmed and the knocked down tobi roppo are chained heavily using seastone chains.
Kaido is bleeding a lot and Luffy is at his limit too. Luffy and Kaido exchange a final blow and Luffy is sent flying far away while Kaido falls on one knee exhausted. Kaido smiled as Luffy had managed to make him exhausted and decided to praise him for forcing him to put Onigashima down and acknowledged him as a pirate and not a brat. Kaido finds a barrel of rum by chance and drinks it, shouting now this is a pirate fight. Luffy is lying on the ground still conscious but out of Haki. Luffy stands up but we can see he is barely able to stand. Kaido walked confidently towards Luffy while drinking.
Suddenly the Samurais and Alliances arrive to back up Luffy who needs to take his breath. The alliances use the weapons of onigashima against Kaido after having made the beast pirates their prisoners. They attack kaido from very far away. Kaido realizes his crews have been defeated and captured. Kaido releases his CoC (even the alliances are very far) , causing most of the wano people to fall unconscious. Luffy observes and realizes he has a lot to learn about CoC. Kaido continues to walk towards Luffy and the remaining alliances that are still conscious continue to shoot Kaido but Kaido keeps moving towards Luffy while dodging the incoming cannonballs. The remaining samurai decided to charge towards Kaido and they all attacked him at once, all landing a heavy combined slice attack on kaido. Kaido fights back and once he is done with the samurais, he goes for luffy again. Kaido prepares to land final blow on Luffy again but Yamato intervened once more and blocked the attack with difficulties. Luffy goes Gear 4 and both use a combination of strong attacks to repel kaido. Kaido soon found himself overwhelmed by the speed of luffy and Yamato and the unending chains of strong attacks. At one point, Kaido falls on one knee, Luffy uses an Over Kong gun and Yamato uses a Thunder Bagua. They attacked at the same time directly to Kaido's face, sending Kaido flying until he fell on his back.
Meanwhile, Big mom finally arrives at the waterfall of Wano. BM is preparing to go up the waterfall but is suddenly intercepted by the red-haired pirates.
(*** i will wait for Greenbull reveals over him going to wano and being made a complete fool. Also the marines should be busy right now with the warlord system abolishment, crocodile and mihawk hunting marines and blackbeard pirates causing chaos in the new world.)
The big mom pirates have a small clash with the red hair pirates. BM Pirates are holding their grounds, with Big mom being more frustrated that Red Hair is in her way. Then suddenly the Big Mom pirates received a call, forcing them to retreat. It is later revealed that the Blackbeard pirates have just attacked BM's territory and have destroyed most of the islands, stolen the red poneglyph and Pudding.
(With Big Mom being forced to retreat, we avoid her from being turned into a joke and we also understand why it is not easy for a yonko to just leave his/her territory. Also Shanks made his moves as Oda promised and not to promote film red. Also he was known to be keeping world balance until the world is right to change, so it is not out of place. He did the same with Kaido who wanted to go against WB during the marineford war.)
Kaido is exhausted, on his back but not Ko'ed after taking the combined attack of Luffy and Yamato directly to the face. The last attack broke one of his horns. Kaido stands up again. Yamato is exhausted but Luffy is still determined to fight. Kaido sensed Shanks' Haki nearby.
Kaido said to himself in a bubble of thoughts, so this is the brat you told me about Red Hair when we met back then ( when Kaido was going to Marineford and was stopped by Shanks). Kaido is happy, it is just as you promised. After I became emperor, no one wanted to challenge me anymore or could give me a challenge in a fight. Only a few could fight with me. This is the best party ever.
Kaido transforms into his dragon form and goes into the air. Luffy follows Kaido in the air. Kaido said " you got some nerve to challenge an emperor, Strawhat Luffy". Luffy created a king kong gun which he infused with CoC and Kaido ignited himself on fire using a new attack. Luffy replied that he will be the pirate king, he will free Wano and he will surpass kaido.
They clashed for a brief moment but Luffy sends Kaido down with brute force. Kaido falls to the ground with extreme violence and Kaido continues until he falls into a magma chamber of Wano. CP0 witnessed the scene and decided to leave immediately as they sensed Shanks' haki nearby and were not expecting Kaido to lose.
Luffy's right hand is severely burnt in the process and Luffy passes out from exhaustion. He falls but is intercepted in the air by marco. Yamato uses her cold breath on the burns as the remaining alliances rush towards luffy.
Shanks realized luffy's alliance won and decided to leave as they have to take care of Barto.
Luffy woke up a week later and looked at his right arm which now has a huge burn scar. Luffy has a determined face ( this will be the setting for G5.) He was severely burnt but he managed to win over Kaido's flame. He knows he can become stronger. )
(**I want him to get G5 through hard work and creativity. Also that now Luffy has full mastery of G4, he can go to the next gear. I want G4 to be considered as a minor awakening of Luffy's fruit. G5 will be the point where luffy fruit is fully awakened and luffy has now controlled 100% his fruit and his haki. Just like BB can have 2 DFs. The gum gum no mi can have two awakenings which is rare for a DF. This a route that could be taken to make the Gum gum no mi special without breaking everything. )
Luffy returned to his goofy self and shouted for food as usual. His crewmates rushed towards him, some smiling and some crying. All shouting " Luffy is awake." . Luffy is very thin due to abusing G4 and seems to have gotten some white hair due to the stress on his body. His skin is also pale gray, showing he has lost a lot of blood. Also luffy is not able to stretch after he just wakes up. He quickly regained his strength after eating some meat but still needs some rest. Later, they visit the graves of the fallen warriors of the raid to pay them respect before throwing a victory party. Momo is there and he has greatly matured even if he is still 8. He thanks Luffy and promises Luffy he will train to become the strongest samurai and he intends to be the best shogun of wano. The next day, luffy is able to use his DF's power again.
The marines being busy with the ex-warlords, blackbeard pirates having some little clash with big mom pirates over the new world and shanks looking for barto, Wano is quiet for now. Luffy can recover peacefully after this terrible battle.
*** as for me..we do not need the nika nika no mi or god sun thing in my opinion. Luffy being seen as joyboy is enough. If the gum gum fruit will be special, make it have 2 awakenings instead of one. Making G4 a minor awakening. )
After a month, Luffy (fully recovered) declares Wano under his protection and gives momo his flag as he is about to leave. As for Yamato, she wants to protect Wano as Oden did and decided to help momo until he is ready. Yamato will guide momo with his dragon powers as they seem like kaido and will also train momo's haki. Momo has even made some progress being able to use boro breath in his child dragon form. He is also being trained by Kinemon to use sword and momo can now use basic sword skills. Everyone was shocked when Yamato mentioned that she is related to Kaido.
Yamato is no longer forced to wear a mask and we can have these funny moments where she would put masks on her face just because she is used to having her face covered for example.. (Oda knows how to make his characters have unique traits.)
While momo was ashamed of his dragon form (since it will bring bad memories) , the people of wano quickly overcame this and are more happy to see the kozuki back to their place. Momo is more confident in this form now and is sometimes seen using his clouds to fly and travel. He intends to change the view the people of Wano have on dragons from fear to hope.
Most of the beast pirates are converted into labor and are helping in bringing wano to its beautiful days by planting trees, closing the weapon factories and healing the wounded or sick, cleaning the rivers ,etc..
Queen and King are imprisoned and are being watched 24/7. Jack is dead.
The tobi roppo are all in jail like queen and king. They are severely guarded with no hope of escaping.
A lot of minks died while facing Jack and a lot were left heavily wounded , so Carrot will stay in Wano for now to help the survivors (heavily injured) and the leaders of the mink.
While looking in Queen's lab, Franky and Chopper discover some new information. Franky discovers stolen Vegapunk's tech, Queen's technology and beneficial ways to enhance his robots. Chopper learnt more about drug creation and medicine. He soon finds a way to cure the smile's side effects, the people will now be able to show their true emotions and not just laugh. However, he cannot remove the effect of them being deadweight in water. So Chopper decided to work on a permanent smile cure for now on.
Robin and law discovered the poneglyph and the history of Wano, the secret of Pluton and also the red poneglyph of kaido.
The newspapers are brought by law during their last day in Wano.
Luffy received a 3 billion bounty and the title of emperor while Law and Kidd received a slightly lower bounty than luffy. Law -> 2.6 billion and kid -> 2.7 billion ( since kid is known as being violent. )
We also got news of the new organization of buggy, crocodile and Mihawk with the same bounty given to them in the original story. Here buggy is given a new title and is referred to as the lord of the underworld or something. We could still have the same story with Buggy having to return money to crocodile but Buggy is not broke on money. He is paying crocodile but not fast enough, so Crocodile decided to visit him and take things seriously. With the marines now chasing them, he knows he has to act.
We get some reactions from the other emperors. Big mom, after returning to Whole Cake island and chasing the BB pirates, is shocked that Kaido was defeated. The damage caused by BB pirates forces BM to stay quiet for now as most of her territory is gone and she has lost countless ships. ( this shows how terrifying BB and his crew can be.) Then we have Blackbeard himself who is on his way to amazon lily. BB laughs at Luffy and declares that Luffy is now in the game. Shanks smile as usual. Akainu is angry that Luffy is having his way and frustrated that he cannot touch Wano right now.
Marco says his goodbye to Luffy and flies away.
The strawhats leaves wano to reach the next island. The story proceeds as usual and they say their goodbye to wano.

Yamato will be an expert in stealth in this case that required someone with great observation haki to find her, characters like Kaido, shanks, Katakuri and Luffy at some point. She developed this skill of erasing her presence as she had to continuously evade the beast pirate. After Udon Prison Break, Kaido would finally find Yamato and there would be a fight. In this case, no dialogue between these two ( this shows how distant these two have become). Yamato lands some good hits but is knocked down ( remember that she has seastone handcuffs). After Kaido has beaten Yamato referred to Yamato as trash. Kaido asked his men to put stronger chains on "this trash" and to bring Yamato to onigashima. There they would inflict stronger tortures to break Yamato's mind this time. Kaido then said that Queen has finally managed to design a seastone handcuff with explosion strong enough to kill Yamato if she were to leave Onigashima. Here, Kaido will hint that he really wants Yamato as a subordinate but Yamato has to be stopped and this is the ultimatum. Yamato has to join or die if she tries to leave Onigashima. With the new handcuffs, Kaido is sure that Yamato won't be able to leave Onigashima and he made it clear to his men to make Yamato knows about this.
Yamato has caused trouble in Udon, destroyed half the prison, knocked down queen. During this, luffy takes advantage of the situation and escapes while also freeing most of the prisoners. Just like what we have in the original manga, some red scabbards were heading to Udon to free luffy. They arrive at Udon which is half destroyed, luffy and Momo reignite the samurais' spirit and give them another will to fight.
Luffy trained his Haki to be able to defeat Kaido.
The story goes as usual, with the alliances infiltrating Onigashima. Yamato managed to escape again and Kaido tasked the tobi roppo to capture yamato with the same reward as in the original. Here it is revealed Yamato is kaido's son at this point of the story, kaido said it himself. Since Yamato wears a mask all the time, NO one knows the real face of yamato. Later it is revealed that Kaido forced yamato to wear this mask and she is like the character in the movie " The Man in the Iron Mask". Yamato cannot remove the mask and Kaido did this because kaido is ashamed to have a daughter and wanted a son. The alliance is infiltrating the territory and the scabbards are aiming for Kaido's head. Later, Yamato helped Luffy with Ulti and allied with Luffy after hearing that Luffy had come to fight Kaido. Luffy helped Yamato by removing the handcuffs. The handcuffs exploded destroying half of the castle. At this point Yamato is 100% determined to kill Kaido and no longer considers Kaido as her father.
The Scabbards will fight Kaido on the roof after landing a surprise attack on Kaido. They will get destroyed but they will put up a good fight by wounding Kaido. We should have some deaths like Kiku and Ashura. Luffy arrived to find most of them injured. Law arrived with Kidd and Zoro. Yamato at that time was tasked with protecting momo. Yamato gives momo the journals of oden that she has saved from the fire during that time. She has read it as she thought the kozuki were all dead. Then she places momo and shinobu in a safe place after realizing that Kaido is lifting onigashima. She informed them that Kaido is literally moving Onigashima to the Flower Capital. Yamato tells Momo to hide as she is going for Kaido.
Luffy, Zorro, Kid and Law fight Kaido with Law teleporting them around the battlefield to avoid dangerous attacks. Even they are rivals Law, Kid and Luffy are forced to work together. Law acts as support and quickly identifies weak points on kaido informing the others where to attack to deal most damage. Law also used gamma knifes and other strong attacks to severely damage Kaido internally. Kid acts as mostly defense with all the metals he has gathered while moving to the top of Onigashima, creating great walls of iron that protect them when in need while also attacking Kaido to deal some damage. Then we have Luffy and Zoro who will be the main source of raw damage. As usual, Zoro would force Kaido to dodge attacks at this point. (Kaido does not need Big Mom to say dodge. Kaido is experienced enough to know what attacks to dodge) Kaido should have been this raid boss that everyone is trying to kill.
NOTE: Kanjuro is killed by Kiku at the start of the war and no revival. Orochi is killed by Kaido while he was explaining about taking wano for himself and that he does not need Orochi. Orochi is killed in front of everyone and there is no revival. We have Drake vs Appoo, with Drake killing Appoo. Hawkins vs killer, killer kills Hawkins. The scabbards are done for after fighting Kaido, they are severely injured and most are unable to move. Law teleports all the Scabbards to a safe spot where the alliance could treat the wounds of those who are still alive. Kinemon is the only one who is still able to walk even heavily wounded and goes to find momo and stay there to protect him. He will mostly fight lackeys at this point while making his way to momo.
In this case, we have Marco fighting both king and queen ( mostly holding them) doing some good damage on them. Chopper uses Monster Point to help Marco by holding Queen. Then Sanji arrives to help Marco and Chopper after being rescued by Robin from Black Maria. Black Maria vs Robin. Robin wins but is unconscious after the fight, Brook found her and took her to safety. Page One and Ulti vs Nami and Usopp ( rescued by Tama). Jinbe vs Who who, Jinbe wins and goes to help Nami and Usopp. Brook also goes to help Nami and Usopp. Nami , Usopp and Tama run away while the animals Tama brought with her, slowed down ulti and page one. Jinbe arrives followed by brook and save Tama' animals.
Nami and Usopp act as support while Jinbe and Brook provide the damage to ulti and page one. Page one and Ulti are defeated. Nami, Usopp,Brook and Jinbe then proceed to help Tama to turn most of the gifters into allies and then fight the remaining beast pirate army. As for Jack, he fought the whole Sulong army by himself on the roof and he defeated most of them before falling (carrot, wanda and some minks are there but they are heavily wounded). Franky vs Sasaki. Franky won and went to help the alliance.
***No queen infecting his own army with frost/oni virus or baby old chopper. We could still have Queen trashed talk the waiters as there are no longer smiles. With some turning against Queen.
Though the supernovas are standing their ground, Kaido proves to them that he is the superior fighter. As much as the supernovas are attacking Kaido, they still feel at a disadvantage as they should always keep in mind that an attack from kaido could be enough to end one of them. This is proven as true when Kaido shows that he has something up his sleeves.
At some point, Kaido prepared to use a very powerful attack that could eradicate all the supernovas if it lands. Kaido prepared himself, taking some time to concentrate. The supernovas feel that this is going to be the end of them if they get caught in this attack. Law immediately launches giant rocks on Kaido but the rocks cannot get past CoC lighting surrounding Kaido as he is charging up. Law realized they cannot approach Kaido right now and advised the others to stay away from kaido. Kid asked Law to just teleport Kaido off the island, to which Law replied that the Haki of Kaido is too powerful and that he can barely influence the area around Kaido. As Kaido is ready to launch this powerful attack (which is similar to the Kaido and Big Mom combined attack in the original manga) , Law uses room and creates a small crack on the ground underneath Kaido's right foot. This causes Kaido to lose balance and for his attack to go a little to the right but not enough to be safe for the supernovas. Since they cannot dodge this attack or counter it, Zoro jumped in and blocked the attack only for a few seconds for law to get them all out of the way. Zoro is heavily injured but can still move. Law is surprised at Zoro for blocking this attack and can see that Zoro has taken a lot of damage just by blocking this attack. Law realized that they were able to get through because Kaido's attack went a little to the right and not directly at them. In a bubble thought, law asked what is this monster they are facing.
Kaido is gasping for a short moment after launching this all out attack. Kaido then said very good to the supernovas for surviving this. We then saw half of the Horn of Onigashima that was caught in this attack is gone, reduced to dust.
Luffy charged on kaido head on as he sees kaido is taking his breath. Kaido lands a big hit on Luffy that KO'ed him. As Kaido is going for the kill, Zoro intervenes and severely damages kaido. Zoro wounded Kaido by giving his all and demonstrated he had CoC. Kaido prepares to attack Zoro but kaido is hit by kid in the head. Kid also is knocked down after landing a big attack to prevent Kaido from attacking Zoro. Zoro is exhausted from using enma and cannot move at the moment. Kaido attacks both Law and Zoro with a thunder bagua. Luffy recovers and understands how to coat his attacks with CoC and also how to defend himself with CoC after thoroughly observing Kaido. Luffy attacked Kaido and we got these awesome panels of Luffy attacks not touching Kaido but still dealing a great deal of damage. While being attacked, Law used a technique to absorb most of the thunder bagua damage from earlier. He managed to protect zoro too and teleport zoro to safety who is exhausted from enma and is wounded from taking some damage from a thunder bagua and also blocking kaido's attack.
Luffy fights Kaido for a while and is able to stand his own but has not mastered CoC coating yet as kaido and luffy is soon overwhelmed by kaido. Luffy is knocked down again and this time Yamato intervenes before kaido can finish luffy for good.
Zoro being completely exhausted from using enma is teleported by law to the alliance where he is treated. After some treatment, Zoro is healed back to health and decided to help Sanji. Marco is exhausted from holding king and queen together and also providing some healing to the whole alliance with his flames. Marco has dealed some good damage on Queen and King but he is at his limit now. Chopper has reached his limit and is unable to move for the moment. Sanji is now holding queen and King but with extreme difficulties. Zoro intervenes at some point and takes on King.
Zoro and Sanji defeat their opponents but are exhausted and are unconscious now after their long challenging fights. Franky will carry zoro to safety and Sanji is nursed by the woman with the mouse after protecting her from Queen. Those 2 will be unconscious throughout the war.
(I will leave zoro and Sanji fights the same. I will just remove this panels of Zoro and death. I did not know what was happening there.)
Yamato is holding her own and damaging Kaido heavily. They are exchanging blows while Law is providing medical treatment to himself, Kid and Luffy. Kaido at this point is carrying Onigashima just like in the original manga. At some point Yamato's mask is completely broken due to the blows of kaido and it is revealed Yamato is a woman by gender. Since she was treated as a man by Kaido, she acts as one. Yamato is soon overwhelmed by Kaido's fighting experience and is on her knees. Kaido proceeds to knock Yamato on her back and to repeatedly hit Yamato with great force( like in the original). Law and Kid who are able to move again decided to give it their all and to use their awakening. Both attack at the same time and protect Yamato who was about to be defeated. They severely damage Kaido, sending Kaido flying and causing him to fall from Onigashima. Law and Kid fall down and are unable to move. Yamato is exhausted but can still move, she took a rough beating and is covered in blood. Luffy woke up and regained his Haki. The combined attack of Law and Kid has severely damaged Kaido making him lose consciousness for 1 sec before transforming into a dragon and making his way to the roof of onigashima. Kaido arrives and is furious but also happy that it has been a while since he was wounded like this. We then saw a big wound around Kaido's chest, bleeding excessively.
Luffy who just woke up has no choice but to fight Kaido as the others are exhausted. We then have a 1v1 where Luffy uses G4 and alternates between gear 4 forms. Snake man to be more agile and to dodge kaido extremely fast attacks. Tankman is used to counter attacks of kaido that cannot be dodged and that Luffy is forced to take head on. Boundman is used to deal extremely high damage to the area Law and Kid have attacked Kaido previously. With CoC coating and training before, luffy is more efficient with his Haki usage and has complete mastery over G4 now. Luffy is also able to hold G4 forms longer than he used too. With CoC coating, he is now able to deal more damage to Kaido while also protecting himself. Law and Kidd are unable to move and Yamato is forced to take them to safety while Luffy is fighting. Yamato also realized that Onigashima is going to fall.
Luffy is standing his ground and demonstrating that he is no joke, landing big attacks while dodging Kaido attacks. With Kaido being tired, Onigashima starts to lose height until it is very close to the ground. Luffy lands a big hit on Kaido wound and causes the clouds around Onigashima to disappear. Onigashima falls very near to the Capital which alerted the people of Wano. Seeing the war going on, the wano people decided to stop partying and to take their weapons and to go fighting. With the people of Wano, the gifters turned allied and the samurais, the beast pirates are soon at a disadvantage in number at this point of the raid. Soon the beast pirates armies are overwhelmed and the knocked down tobi roppo are chained heavily using seastone chains.
Kaido is bleeding a lot and Luffy is at his limit too. Luffy and Kaido exchange a final blow and Luffy is sent flying far away while Kaido falls on one knee exhausted. Kaido smiled as Luffy had managed to make him exhausted and decided to praise him for forcing him to put Onigashima down and acknowledged him as a pirate and not a brat. Kaido finds a barrel of rum by chance and drinks it, shouting now this is a pirate fight. Luffy is lying on the ground still conscious but out of Haki. Luffy stands up but we can see he is barely able to stand. Kaido walked confidently towards Luffy while drinking.
Suddenly the Samurais and Alliances arrive to back up Luffy who needs to take his breath. The alliances use the weapons of onigashima against Kaido after having made the beast pirates their prisoners. They attack kaido from very far away. Kaido realizes his crews have been defeated and captured. Kaido releases his CoC (even the alliances are very far) , causing most of the wano people to fall unconscious. Luffy observes and realizes he has a lot to learn about CoC. Kaido continues to walk towards Luffy and the remaining alliances that are still conscious continue to shoot Kaido but Kaido keeps moving towards Luffy while dodging the incoming cannonballs. The remaining samurai decided to charge towards Kaido and they all attacked him at once, all landing a heavy combined slice attack on kaido. Kaido fights back and once he is done with the samurais, he goes for luffy again. Kaido prepares to land final blow on Luffy again but Yamato intervened once more and blocked the attack with difficulties. Luffy goes Gear 4 and both use a combination of strong attacks to repel kaido. Kaido soon found himself overwhelmed by the speed of luffy and Yamato and the unending chains of strong attacks. At one point, Kaido falls on one knee, Luffy uses an Over Kong gun and Yamato uses a Thunder Bagua. They attacked at the same time directly to Kaido's face, sending Kaido flying until he fell on his back.
Meanwhile, Big mom finally arrives at the waterfall of Wano. BM is preparing to go up the waterfall but is suddenly intercepted by the red-haired pirates.
(*** i will wait for Greenbull reveals over him going to wano and being made a complete fool. Also the marines should be busy right now with the warlord system abolishment, crocodile and mihawk hunting marines and blackbeard pirates causing chaos in the new world.)
The big mom pirates have a small clash with the red hair pirates. BM Pirates are holding their grounds, with Big mom being more frustrated that Red Hair is in her way. Then suddenly the Big Mom pirates received a call, forcing them to retreat. It is later revealed that the Blackbeard pirates have just attacked BM's territory and have destroyed most of the islands, stolen the red poneglyph and Pudding.
(With Big Mom being forced to retreat, we avoid her from being turned into a joke and we also understand why it is not easy for a yonko to just leave his/her territory. Also Shanks made his moves as Oda promised and not to promote film red. Also he was known to be keeping world balance until the world is right to change, so it is not out of place. He did the same with Kaido who wanted to go against WB during the marineford war.)
Kaido is exhausted, on his back but not Ko'ed after taking the combined attack of Luffy and Yamato directly to the face. The last attack broke one of his horns. Kaido stands up again. Yamato is exhausted but Luffy is still determined to fight. Kaido sensed Shanks' Haki nearby.
Kaido said to himself in a bubble of thoughts, so this is the brat you told me about Red Hair when we met back then ( when Kaido was going to Marineford and was stopped by Shanks). Kaido is happy, it is just as you promised. After I became emperor, no one wanted to challenge me anymore or could give me a challenge in a fight. Only a few could fight with me. This is the best party ever.
Kaido transforms into his dragon form and goes into the air. Luffy follows Kaido in the air. Kaido said " you got some nerve to challenge an emperor, Strawhat Luffy". Luffy created a king kong gun which he infused with CoC and Kaido ignited himself on fire using a new attack. Luffy replied that he will be the pirate king, he will free Wano and he will surpass kaido.
They clashed for a brief moment but Luffy sends Kaido down with brute force. Kaido falls to the ground with extreme violence and Kaido continues until he falls into a magma chamber of Wano. CP0 witnessed the scene and decided to leave immediately as they sensed Shanks' haki nearby and were not expecting Kaido to lose.
Luffy's right hand is severely burnt in the process and Luffy passes out from exhaustion. He falls but is intercepted in the air by marco. Yamato uses her cold breath on the burns as the remaining alliances rush towards luffy.
Shanks realized luffy's alliance won and decided to leave as they have to take care of Barto.
Luffy woke up a week later and looked at his right arm which now has a huge burn scar. Luffy has a determined face ( this will be the setting for G5.) He was severely burnt but he managed to win over Kaido's flame. He knows he can become stronger. )
(**I want him to get G5 through hard work and creativity. Also that now Luffy has full mastery of G4, he can go to the next gear. I want G4 to be considered as a minor awakening of Luffy's fruit. G5 will be the point where luffy fruit is fully awakened and luffy has now controlled 100% his fruit and his haki. Just like BB can have 2 DFs. The gum gum no mi can have two awakenings which is rare for a DF. This a route that could be taken to make the Gum gum no mi special without breaking everything. )
Luffy returned to his goofy self and shouted for food as usual. His crewmates rushed towards him, some smiling and some crying. All shouting " Luffy is awake." . Luffy is very thin due to abusing G4 and seems to have gotten some white hair due to the stress on his body. His skin is also pale gray, showing he has lost a lot of blood. Also luffy is not able to stretch after he just wakes up. He quickly regained his strength after eating some meat but still needs some rest. Later, they visit the graves of the fallen warriors of the raid to pay them respect before throwing a victory party. Momo is there and he has greatly matured even if he is still 8. He thanks Luffy and promises Luffy he will train to become the strongest samurai and he intends to be the best shogun of wano. The next day, luffy is able to use his DF's power again.
The marines being busy with the ex-warlords, blackbeard pirates having some little clash with big mom pirates over the new world and shanks looking for barto, Wano is quiet for now. Luffy can recover peacefully after this terrible battle.
*** as for me..we do not need the nika nika no mi or god sun thing in my opinion. Luffy being seen as joyboy is enough. If the gum gum fruit will be special, make it have 2 awakenings instead of one. Making G4 a minor awakening. )
After a month, Luffy (fully recovered) declares Wano under his protection and gives momo his flag as he is about to leave. As for Yamato, she wants to protect Wano as Oden did and decided to help momo until he is ready. Yamato will guide momo with his dragon powers as they seem like kaido and will also train momo's haki. Momo has even made some progress being able to use boro breath in his child dragon form. He is also being trained by Kinemon to use sword and momo can now use basic sword skills. Everyone was shocked when Yamato mentioned that she is related to Kaido.
Yamato is no longer forced to wear a mask and we can have these funny moments where she would put masks on her face just because she is used to having her face covered for example.. (Oda knows how to make his characters have unique traits.)
While momo was ashamed of his dragon form (since it will bring bad memories) , the people of wano quickly overcame this and are more happy to see the kozuki back to their place. Momo is more confident in this form now and is sometimes seen using his clouds to fly and travel. He intends to change the view the people of Wano have on dragons from fear to hope.
Most of the beast pirates are converted into labor and are helping in bringing wano to its beautiful days by planting trees, closing the weapon factories and healing the wounded or sick, cleaning the rivers ,etc..
Queen and King are imprisoned and are being watched 24/7. Jack is dead.
The tobi roppo are all in jail like queen and king. They are severely guarded with no hope of escaping.
A lot of minks died while facing Jack and a lot were left heavily wounded , so Carrot will stay in Wano for now to help the survivors (heavily injured) and the leaders of the mink.
While looking in Queen's lab, Franky and Chopper discover some new information. Franky discovers stolen Vegapunk's tech, Queen's technology and beneficial ways to enhance his robots. Chopper learnt more about drug creation and medicine. He soon finds a way to cure the smile's side effects, the people will now be able to show their true emotions and not just laugh. However, he cannot remove the effect of them being deadweight in water. So Chopper decided to work on a permanent smile cure for now on.
Robin and law discovered the poneglyph and the history of Wano, the secret of Pluton and also the red poneglyph of kaido.
The newspapers are brought by law during their last day in Wano.
Luffy received a 3 billion bounty and the title of emperor while Law and Kidd received a slightly lower bounty than luffy. Law -> 2.6 billion and kid -> 2.7 billion ( since kid is known as being violent. )
We also got news of the new organization of buggy, crocodile and Mihawk with the same bounty given to them in the original story. Here buggy is given a new title and is referred to as the lord of the underworld or something. We could still have the same story with Buggy having to return money to crocodile but Buggy is not broke on money. He is paying crocodile but not fast enough, so Crocodile decided to visit him and take things seriously. With the marines now chasing them, he knows he has to act.
We get some reactions from the other emperors. Big mom, after returning to Whole Cake island and chasing the BB pirates, is shocked that Kaido was defeated. The damage caused by BB pirates forces BM to stay quiet for now as most of her territory is gone and she has lost countless ships. ( this shows how terrifying BB and his crew can be.) Then we have Blackbeard himself who is on his way to amazon lily. BB laughs at Luffy and declares that Luffy is now in the game. Shanks smile as usual. Akainu is angry that Luffy is having his way and frustrated that he cannot touch Wano right now.
Marco says his goodbye to Luffy and flies away.
The strawhats leaves wano to reach the next island. The story proceeds as usual and they say their goodbye to wano.
