Chapter Discussion Someone explain the clash

It's been talked about quite a bit in the power level discussion forums and a bit here, but i think it deserves its own thread

Wtf is going on here? I've heard that it was a punch but his arms are fully transformed in the next page

I've heard that this clash was strictly elemental, which is believable because I can't even try to begin to make out where their arms meet(I couldn't even tell you what Big mom's arm is doing here). But then the question arises; what attack does Marco have that excludes all physical contact? Is it in line with his awakening flames and how they can heal without making contact?

and that this same awakening ability is what allows for his healing flames to smother Prometheus? Or is this clash actually a physical clash in which he chooses to attack with his wing?? And some part of Big mom's arm meets it head on? I also wouldn't have a problem believing that the shockwave could've strictly been do to an elemental clash and that large pillar is actually made of fire?

Idk maybe I'm just overthinking it and it's a regular wing-arm fire clash that's just kinda hard to make out thru the flames...

Marco attacked with his left wing and BM holding Prometheus with her hand attacked as well from what I can see.

Those attacks carried brute force (momentum) since a shockwave was produced and after they clashed, they continued to hold their arms in that position (no one lost in the contest of brute force since none of them retreated back) and after "some time" (some seconds at most) is when Marco "defeated" Prometheus because of his special flames were touching him.

Ofc the clash contributed for Prometheus being defeated since from that moment he started to touch Marco's flame.

It is an elemental clash. Prometheus's statement makes it even more clear.


As you can see from the panel Marco doesn't have arms but Phoenix wings. There's no way he is punching with that.

Then comes BM arm. It isn't clashing with Marco's
