@Chrono after thinking about it, there is another major reason why Boris would not send the British military over to the Middle East if any conflict between the US and Iran were to arise.

Boris currently requires the military on standby in case of any potential large scale civil unrest within the UK. Ten years of Tory austerity has decimated the police forces. Even his recent major recruitment drive will only at most restore police numbers at just under pre-Tory levels and they are yet to actually be fully trained.

Regarding England, it has only been about eight years since the London Riots and those riots occured during a time when the country was nowhere near as divided as it currently is. Depending on how badly Brexit turns out, both sides in England might riot.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland has always been a hotspot. The republicans are on the rise there and depending on the results of the potential upcoming Stormont elections, the republicans could very well push for a Border Poll which in turn will set the DUP off. Likewise, depending on where the post Brexit border will be placed (either a land border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland or a sea border between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK) then someone in Stormont will be most displeased.

Scotland’s independence movement has become rejuvenated after the last election. That is another potential powder keg that could blow up if Johnson denies or disrespects the Scots too much.

So yes, Johnson will definitely require the military on standby right now for the home front, especially if the Troubles restart in Northern Ireland.

I hope none of the allies actually help US. You know what this is trumps problem. Let him send his troop.

I dont think candian, royal army , australian forces should not sacrifice in this meaningless middle east affairs.

The problem started with nonsense like blair , john howard who supported dubya result was chaos in iraq gave birth to isis.

What did allies truly got ? Only terror attack on the soil. Was it worth it . 200,000 got killed and US never learnt its lesson.

Gosh , if US truly wants a war let them deal this alone. Young people dont deserve to die.

Well boris is sensible. He has not supported or said anything so far . Only israelis tweeted the support of attack. This shows US has isolated itself in world stage. Even Allies have criticized the killing.
Now we have to deal shia militant . I can see iran using more proxy wars on the home soil.

Nothing will happen, the senate is majorly republican, and in congress the impeachment was only voted by democrats.

Its basically the democrats last call to their election as its pretty obvious who's gonna win 2020. The democrats have Bernie Sanders who doesn't even know what socialism is and the walking dead guy.

Theres not gonna be a full war, if there was there would have been casualties by now. I hope not, at least. If trump goes to Iran, there's gonna be a big problem, no WW3 tho, Russia & China would never want it nor would the USA. They can financially help Iran tho
