Theory Sp3105's Theory Topic: A Powerful Ancient Kingdom with Great Ideals

#1
Hi worstgen,

I'm going to begin every theory I make by saying I hate presenting theories and I hate talking to people about them! Why? Because I never get positive feedback. Ever. However, I'm going to point out -- you should expect crazy theories for a crazy story like One Piece. What are you expecting? Everything to be perfectly reasonable? Ha! That's a laugh.

The Ancient Kingdom is regarded as a powerful civilization with great ideals. I have seen this kind of theme in a story before! It's not new.

I will explain how this works in the simplest way I can put it.... by reiterating it in a summarized version.

Once, there was a great kingdom that possessed powerful technology. One day, the great kingdom was approached by another kingdom. This kingdom was plagued by disease and possessed no means of curing it, but they heard rumors of a great kingdom that had superior technology unlike any other and thought they might have a cure. So, they sought negotiations with the great kingdom for access to the technology to save their people. The great kingdom was skeptical of providing superior technology to underdeveloped civilizations. They believed that by providing underdeveloped civilizations with superior technology that they may ask for it under the pretense of using it for peaceful purposes, but then instead use it for military purposes and cause a disruption to the balance of power throughout the land. So, the great kingdom refused to give the kingdom that was plagued by disease access to their technology which may have saved them. Later, the kingdom that was plagued by disease resorted to drastic measures to save their people and created an alliance of kingdoms to wage war against the great kingdom. They would plan to steal the technology the great kingdom refused to share with them and take vengeance on their people by destroying their civilization.

I hope you enjoyed my little story about the great kingdom and the kingdom plagued by disease. This story is intended to illustrate the events of the Void Century wherein the Great Kingdom was destroyed by the Alliance of Twenty Kingdoms and the World Government was formed. This is a common theme in fictional stories.

With that said, the Great Kingdom may have been attacked by a bunch of dudes because it was holding out on the goodies.

Also... the so-called "great ideals" are a form of the Prime Directive in Star Trek. That should be obvious. Starfleet doesn't like giving underdeveloped worlds advanced technology because as barbarians they might beat each other over the head with it instead of using it to fix their battered bodies like they should be. The great ideals include (1) truth (2) knowledge (3) peace (4) unity (5) justice.

The story I'd like to cite as example for this common theme is the story of the Iconian Race in Star Trek.

The Iconians are very similar to the Great Kingdom.

1a. The Iconians were considered a powerful ancient civilization with great ideals.
1b. The Great Kingdom was considered a powerful ancient civilization with great ideals.
2a. The Iconians were attacked by an alliance of civilizations because they refused to share technology.
2b. The Great Kingdom may have been attacked by an alliance of twenty kingdoms because they refused to share technology.
3a. The Iconians lost an ancient artifact they considered to be their greatest technological achievement. The World Heart.
3b. The Great Kingdom lost an ancient artifact they may have considered to be their greatest technological achievement. The One Piece.
4a. The Iconians attempted to rebuild their civilization thousands of years after it was destroyed. The Whole.
4b. The Great Kingdom may be attempting to rebuild its civilization hundreds of years after it was destroyed. The Family of D.

That's the general idea.

I'm going to end this with a comment by Ichiji Vinsmoke.

"Even if our scientific power had been stolen, what could a bunch of idiots do with it anyway?" Ichiji mocking the Big Mom Pirates.

How am I contradicting myself by saying that I dislike talking about theories because other people never really provide positive feedback and instead try to shit on any theory they ever read or try to undermine the poster somehow?

I don't like presenting theories or talking about them because people show up and say things that (1) have nothing to do with the theory content itself (2) they try to argue over trivial things like the non-subjective nature of what I just said.

I don't think that's contradicting, and I don't think it's hard to understand. Simply put, it's mostly not fun being a theorist for One Piece. You should expect to have a bad time with rotten people.

I would appreciate if others abided by the rule of if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything but since I'm often the only one who considers that I often forgo it because what's the point if nobody else is considering it.

The most common reaction from people regarding my theories is "we don't need to read this". Someone already commented that in one of my posts here lol.... on my Zoro Does NOT Have Conqueror's Haki thread.

They often come purely just to say something to dismiss the idea or me as a person whether what I'm saying or not has any merit It's just that they don't like what I'm saying because it doesn't agree with their own faulty notions about the subject.... so, I'm usually the target of flak.

Do you know what flak means? Flak is a word that originated by people in the military who had to fly into enemy territory under fire from anti-air installations lol.... in other words it means you're getting gunned down in enemy territory alone and without support.
