That baby does seem how Luffy would look like as a baby.

He's 2 years younger than Uta and we know they grew up together for about 7 years or so I think? Shanks raised Uta for 7 years apparently?

I've not watched the new episodes about Uta but I've seen a bit of clips from them and this does seem like a potential setup for Luffys mom to be revealed, "foreshadowing" if you will.

I mean we're finally gonna have Luffy reunite with his dad soon in this long awaited final saga, so what better time to feature his mother too?

I've been dying to know what his mother would be like, who she would be, what happened to her and if she is dead like almost every other OP mother apparently! Given how much I adore Narutos mother Kushina ofc and Ichigos mom Masaki, I have very high hopes for Luffys mom too!
