Finished "The Vision of Escaflowne"! I really enjoyed it! It's well animated, the art direction is beautiful, the OST is great and the characters are fun.

It's a mix of everything: its a Shonen, Shoujo, Mecha, Esaki, Fantasy all mixed into one. It's got something for everyone, give it a watch.

Minami Nanami got rejected by Tomozaki and he prefers Fuka instead. And so the author decided to create Minami own spin-off light novel about the alternative timeline where she won and end up with Tomozaki instead. Pretty cool.
