It was interesting but I think they waited to long between seasons, and it didn't have the same charm the first one had, it was good and the acting was great but most of the characters weren't has endering they where all pretty surface level compared to the cast of the first season who felt more like actual victims in a death game they didn't sign up for, this season they acted more like they where on a reality show and not a single character had any real development or breakthrough i give it a 6/10 overall

I liked it, the only real downside is that it's painfully obvious that Netflix only released one part of a full season, so it feels incomplete and has an abrupt ending.

I liked the characters in s2 much more overall, season 1 had extremely forgettable characters except a couple of them.

Retarded Netflix "splitting into two" at it again. The worst is Cobra Kai with 3 parts.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but besides Gi Hun vs Game Master psychological warfare this "season" was simply a waste of time. It hurt this one so much that it's split into two, so the way "season 2" ends makes it look unfinished and abruptly ended.

I didn't feel any attachment to the new characters, super forced bonding within the little groups and Thanos lost to a freakin Korean Logan Paul, not even the Avengers.

I will watch the last batch of episodes to see how it plays out but ultimately I share the opinion with a lot of people who admit that Squid Game should've been a one and done or if they wanted to milk the success of Season 1, this one should've had a new main character going through it all like Gi Hun did in season 1.

The only interesting way the last batch episodes can end is if Gi Hun loses it and becomes a Game Master too. I mean, realistically, GM won the mental warfare the moment Gi Hun admitted they need to sacrifice some people.

Oh, did I mention the police dude's plot? Waste of screen time at its finest. But but but, the Captain was tricking them🤪🤪

tl;dr Fuck Netflix.

People criticise it but still watch it.
Netflix does not care if People like it or not.
As long as People watch and talk about it, Netflix wins.
The only way of winning is not playing, not watching shit like this or Rings of power, not engage in discussions and just let it die

From my understanding, season 2 is season 1 with different games.
How is that refreshing
You can't have an understanding if you didn't watch it, don't base it off of people's reviews like some paid Rotten Tomatoes activist.

Give it a shot and see if you liked it or not.

There are new games yes but the whole point of season 2 is a psychological warfare between the Game Master and Gi Hun ( previous winner ) who clash with their ideologies throughout the season, Gi Hun is on his "I will become a hero" type of arc and GM wants to show him how badly trying to become a hero in the real world ends.

I prefer season 1, I also think that Squid Game should've been one and done type of show but season 2 is not as bad as I expected it to be, and I expected them to milk it to the sky.

Most of the criticism comes from the fact that the next Season 3 is not Season 3 but Season 2 part 2. Netflix like the usual annoying fucks they are, split the season again which leaves a lot of viewers of "Season 2" confused as for why it ends so abruptly as it does and you basically have to wait for part 2.

Was pretty good. But yeah didn't really care much for the newer characters or bonds apart from Thanos and Gi hun's old friend.
