Powers & Abilities Straw hats learning haki

#1
I feel like the God Knights will retreat with the children for the time being and will attack at a later time, during which all the straw hats will have to learn haki.

My theory is that Rayleigh will bring Hancock to Luffy in Elbaf and will reunite with Gaban and both will teach the straw hats haki(minus the trio and Jinbei of course).

Brook and Robin will defined fight Gunko and Sommers at the end of the arc but this time they have haki so they can 1 vs 1 the God Knights and I believe Brook eventually defeats Gunko and frees her from Imu’s control which will kill her and after an emotional final goodbye between them, the actual Imu will finally come for real and will face Luffy at the climax of the arc, setting the stage for when they fight again in Laugh Tale to settle this long war once and for all.

At this stage, I think Oda may pay some lip service to it but he's otherwise going to off panel it.

It's very clear Haki turned out different than he initially planned.

If he could go back with the knowledge he has now, post-skip SHP would probably start with and learn along the way
  1. Luffy: CoC + CoA + CoO >>>> + advanced techniques (???)
  2. Zoro: CoA + CoO >>>> + CoC (Wano) >>>> + advanced techniques (???)
  3. Nami: N/A >>>> + CoO (WCI)
  4. Usopp: CoA >>>> + CoO (Dressrosa) >>>> + advanced techniques (???)
  5. Sanji: CoA + CoO >>>> + CoC (Elbaph) >>>> + advanced techniques (???)
  6. Chopper: CoA >>>> + CoO (Wano)
  7. Robin: CoO >>>> + CoA (Wano)
  8. Franky: N/A >>>> + CoA (Dressrosa)
  9. Brook: CoA >>>> + CoO (WCI)
  10. Jinbe: CoA + CoO >>>> + advanced techniques (???)
  11. Yamato: CoC + CoA + CoO >>>> + advanced techniques (???)

At this point, I just want the SHP to learn Haki off panel. I'll just go with it.
I think that once you have the aptitude for haki, it’s not that difficult to learn in itself, but the power of your haki is dependent on your overall battle prowess as its an amplifier

Sure, but there's still some training and discipline involved, which is part of why the timeskip was necessary.

It's very annoying how it's turned out. In addition to the Monster Trio having at least 2, I think, Usopp, Robin and Brook should've all developed one.

I think it would have been okay with Nami, Chopper and Franky not having Haki at the start of post-skip, though Chopper should have it.

I think Chopper actively trying to learn whatever it is Gaban used to hurt the Gods Knights is a good sign. In addition to the following:
- Loki requiring 1 month to heal from his injuries (could be an intermission on Elbaf for about a month before the climax of the arc)
- Imu making an appearance also increase the chances of Elbaf being utterly defeated here which will require them to regroup and have another go (maybe even raid or sneak into Marijoea to get back what they've lost)
- The whole don't stay too long on Elbaf ting that Luis Arnot said at the beginning of the arc (can't really shake the feeling that it could be time related)

So yh if we do get come kinda intermission I hope they learn Haki from Gaban before going again.

I am not so optimistic. I believe Chopper's role is purely to save Gaban and have him in a condition to pass on information to Luffy, Zoro and Sanji.

The counter probably isn't based in CoC, but if it is, then I expect Sanji to awaken it very shortly after.

I agree it being CoC would be a bit too lazy but yh, if it is then Sanji is almost certainly guaranteed to unlock CoC this arc.
I really hope it isn't a "depend on the M3 to bail us out" type situation again tbh, otherwise all this focus the weaker SHs are getting would be useless. It's okay for the M3 to do some heavy lifting but M3 cannot take Imu and Gorosei alongside all of the Holy Knights by themselves. So I'm hopeful :pepecopium:

CoC would definitely be a cop out.

If Sanji is to awaken CoC this arc, I want it to be against Sommers, whose DF seems to be an extreme hard counter to Sanji, and therefore the kind of extreme diff match up that could appropriately force Sanji into evolving and overcoming Sommers DF with CoC.

I think he'll awaken CoC first, and will instinctively use Future Sight almost immediately after it.
