Egghead and Elbaph are just the latest in showing us how this operates. Oda doesnt have the time nor the luxury to draw out 1v1 fights for everyone, nor does he seem to have interest to. He brought like 10 fightable Marines only have Kizaru do nothing and Zoro fight Lucci out of all people. Then he proceeded to bring 4 GKs to Elbaph and then removed one. We'll see if the paradigm shifts in a few chapters but right now its looking very similar as the last arc.

If its not clear already, he's saving an indescribable amount of enemies for the endgame of this manga, to probably not receive their time of say onscreen or to the level of detail people want from their fights. And that should worry or scare you because he refuses to remove enemies from the story.

Well yeah, I mention that. The issue is they arent all VAs. Kurouma is an investigations officer, not a Vice Admiral. Is he strong? Maybe, its not like I expect every strawhat member to fight Vice Admirals. The important thing is that they all follow the Chinese Zodiac and have actor's faces for their designs.

Im just saying tread lightly on expectations because while (do not take the next sentence literally) Chaton may fight Franky for example, maybe Oda has Kurouma get one tapped by Mihawk or Shanks or something.

Its like how Page One just got wiped by Big Mom and not Usopp. Oda does whatever the fuck he wants lol and anyone can lose in 2 pages or 30 chapters depeneding on said conflict where they are featured.

The only characters im confident in are Sakazuki, Issho and Aramaki. Like Blackbeard, the former has left a major impact on Luffy negatively, while the latter 2 literally are Zoro and Sanji analogs, just like Mr. 1 and 2, Kaku and Jabra, King and Queen and possibly Shiryu and another Titanic Captain (or maybe it doesnt either).

I have no idea what this means for Kizaru and Kuzan in this story either. The former should have just had their story neatly ended by Egghead but clearly Oda still has plans for him.

The SH’s vs Marines is an interesting concept but I just don’t see it happening anymore

There are too many characters to fight and not enough characters left to fight them

The Final War would have the World Government (Imu + 5 Gorosei + X remaining Holy Knights), Marines (Akainu + 3 Admirals), and the Blackbeard Pirates somewhere in there

When would the Strawhats have time to oppose the Marines directly?

Getting stabbed in the back by an ally while your mission was about to be successful is pretty frustrating, not sure what the issue is here.
