Today's topic will be
Which crew do you consider to be the strawhats biggest rivals?
Many may say Blackbeard Pirates, some might say one of the super nova crews all good answers but lemme break down why the answer Is clearly cross guild
Interwoven Stories- The members of cross guild and strawhats have all battled at least once throughout the story, Buggy fought luffy on numerous occasions and if you think back Luffy as never beaten Buggy in a straight up 1v1 he had to get helped or rescued at some point, in orange town Nami helped him by tying Buggys legs in a bundle and in logue town he was nearly beheaded by Buggy if it wasn't for lighting, Mihawk a member of cross guild is the final goal to accomplish Zoro's dreams and ambitions of being the world's strongest swordsman, not to mention the connection both Buggy and Luffy have to Shanks
Similar Paths- Both Luffy and Buggy went down similar paths, they where both introduced as just your run of the mill east blue pirates, both escaped impel down together (do note buggy was already planning an escape when Luffy arrived) and they both eventually rose to the rank of Yonko at the same time
Defeated Strawhats- they are the only group where multiple members have nearly killed, or defeated the strawhats, as i mentioned before Buggy nearly killed Luffy at least twice, Crocodile nearly killed him at least 3 times, mihawk could have killed Zoro but decided to hold back. Mr 3. Nearly turned Zoro, Nami and Vivi into wax figures, Dax Bones was very close to killing Zoro in Alabasta
The Same Innate Ability- Luffy and Buggy both have the abiltiy to attract others to them, including enemies and ability Mihawk claimed to be the most dangerous in the sea, half the strawhats didn't even want to be pirates let alone join his crew but he not only managed to convince them, it's to the point they'd die for him without a moments hesitation and while most of the higher ups in Cross Guild wouldn't offer him the same treatment the random fodder that praise him will and even tho they probably wouldn't die for him they still respect him and follow him, Alvida didn't have to team up with Buggy and yet she did, Mr 3 didn't either and here he is, and now Crocodile and Mihawk are technically is subordinates as well? Crocodile could have easily teamed up with someone else, he even rejected Doflamingo's offer in marine ford, but Buggy knew he had something Crocodile needed and now both he and Mihawk are under Buggys flag.
Conclusion- In conclusion Cross Guild are strawhats biggest rivals because their captains had similar paths to yonko hood, one of its members is literally the goal of Zoro, they're the only group filled with people who nearly killed a strawhat at some point, and both captains have the ability to make allies where ever they go.
