Im just saying even if its letter for letter crossing swords, it is still an idiom that is used for people in conflict.

And who split the skies? was it gryphon or was it shanks? cuz I'm pretty sure the mythical beast that is shanks sword used its strength to allow shanks to clash with WB one handed.

So maybe it was 50/50 effort on gryphon and shanks part, but that also means the gryphon matched shanks strength, and I thought Kaido was the WSC, so Shanks capped at matching the strength of a weaker creature

So this just confirms Kaido is physically stronger than Shanks, makes sense ofc.
