Her situation was something like Garp: she needed to choose between her family (Vegapunk) or her job (cp0). But according to Edison is clearly that she considered Lucci and Kaku her friends.
If all this is a build up for Lucci revenge instead of Lucci redemption would be trash in my opinion.

She's not going to be killed by Lucci, shit hit the fan, they have bigger problems to worry about rn, and Lucci is in no condition to be wasting the limited energy he has, he can be lying down rn for all we know.
