What does he need to see? The entire World Government waiting for him to open the borders so they can invade and annex Wano? This plot point was over the moment the Gorosei said that keeping the borders closed was a smart move. Wano’s borders opening can only play a part at the very end when Momo in Wano has to support Luffy, opening the borders within the wrong timing, like that clown Oden wanted to do, had he defeated Kaidou, it would have been the end for them. Momo has already shown far better intellect than his father (not that it’s hard, but still) at the tender age of 8, his role as a main character has (finally after 10 years) come to an end, he now needs to study with the help of his vassals how to be a great Shogun.
He needs to see what his father saw that made Oden want to open the borders in the first place. As it stands right now, nobody even knows why Oden wants the borders open, or what it means to open them. You think Momo is thinking, Im too young to open the borders right now. I need to study for a few years, learn how to be a great Shogun, and then I'll open them? Nope, because the way Oda has structured the narrative, it is imperative that Wanos borders open to bring about the Dawn of the World. So it's happening before the series concludes.
Of course it’s happening before the series ends, but it’s not happening now, nor it requires Momo to leave Wano, Momo doesn’t have to be a CTRL +C version of Oden, he has responsibilities (whom his father shunned) to attend to, people’s bellies, especially from a Country on the brink of death for 20 years aren’t filled with prophecies.
Were Momo to leave Wano, he didn’t learn anything from Oden’s decision to (with childishly motivations might I add) escape Wano and fuck around as Kaidou tightened his grip there. He needs to stay, to avoid a new Kaidou AND restore Wano to a dignified state.

If this happens, Momo could use Ponyglyphs to send messages only decipherable to people who had been taught the ancient text, allowing the Wano alliance to communicate through cryptography. I think Momo will surprise some people in the coming arc. If Oda actually gave him a serious-sword and said he would become a great Shogun, Momo will do something wild soon
