I think on average there are more strong guys in HxH than there are in JJK
but also there are many more character in HxH
And both Meruem and Sukuna are the undisputed king of their verse
Meruem had an easier fight against Netero (bar nuke) than Sukuna had against Gojo
hmm that's hard to state as Spiders are on paper stronger than Kurapika but he has a strong binding vow with his Nen ability in chains that he becomes OP compared to them i mean realistically does Uvo actually lose to Kurapika, no absolutely not.
I like jjk and hxh due to their power systems as we have logic wins for someone weaker than the other, outside of Yuji fucking scrub. but nen, stands and CT they all work around laws and can be counters for one another just like we saw with Uro vs Kuro his CT wasnt superior to Uro it was just the wrong match up stylistically.
the world of HxH is probably stronger yeah since you have zoldycks spiders princes etcetera but its all about smarts more than anything like gon vs hisoka he put a decent fight looking outwards.
i mean its hard to state since Sukuna wanted to purposefully bypass and adapt to limitless what else is he actually hiding he couldve turned into heinan era replenished after gojo couldnt expand or his second time overusing rct/ct

no i dont think so mereum is intelligent and smart yes but the guy stayed in his room playing board games i mean ultimately its what helped him win against netero in the end but Sukuna evelved so far to the point that he became on other wordly being he was once a human a regular human now look at what he has become - mereum didnt evolve i personally think hes overrated and a poorly written villian. as far as mereums evolvement goes is tactical and it doesnt apply to battles netero just began playing shogei or whatever it was he kept losing to during the battle to track and keep up with netero while Sukunas evolement has surpassed that of anything that has become of JJK hes a pure calamity, a literal god and true conqueror. he doesnt need a fleet of gaurds he has Ura primarily for her utilzation of cooking for him. Realistically speaking Mereum would lose on a 2v1 if its 2 neteros vs 1 mereum while Sukuna would still beat 2 gojos at once.

Honestly HxH verse is relatively weak similar to JJK but Mereum gets bodied by Sukuna and Goatjo.
against Sukuna I say at best he pushes him to whatever Yoruzu did.
hell I think even Yoruzu bodies Mereum. As we saw the guy can’t defend himself against HAX and that’s exactly what Sukuna is and has.
the strong characters from HxH haven’t even been fully fleshed out in verse yet.
