So we all know Jinbe's dream is to "technically" liberate his people from oppression, but its actually a dream that hasn't been been elaborated upon very much, nor was unique from the dreams of his people. Don't get me wrong, it's a huge dream, but it hasn't been very well established to Jinbe himself, rather it was tied to Otohime and Fisher Tiger. Jinbe had zero connections to Noah and what it meant, rather is was exposition delivered by Neptune that really made sense of it. It was Shirahoshi that called the sea kings to stop Noah from destroying FI. It was Sharly who predicted a "Luffy" silhouette would destroy FI (or save it, depending on context).
However, Oda is now delivering something entirely new that seems specifically related to Jinbe. He is using the fight with WsW to bring it together and fundamentally tie Jinbe with the rest for the crew with a dream that can only be achieved with the crew. Something tells me Oda bring up Nika during the fight with WsW was primarily to tie some bigger backstory for Jinbe as a child, not just as a man part of the Sun Pirates. Clearly the Sun God ties to into bigger lore in the series, but I also think it's what inherently ties Jinbe to having much deeper implication to his dream as part of the Strawhats.
What do you think? This is partially why I think 1019 still will (mostly) focus on Jinbe and WsW's fight, barring whatever people think can or can't happen based on what they've seen already. Maybe even 1020 if Oda decides to really give Jinbe the floor when it comes to a strawhat backstory. There is technically more that needs elaboration on what Jinbe's specific connection to Nika actually is, and we technically need more information from WsW when it comes to this story in general, but we'll see soon enough.
Clearly Jinbe is not talking about something, and this fight is technically the point where he either will or where we get a mini-flashback that at least ties the readers into what he's thinking
Edit: it also would make sense to elaborate on his dream before doing Yamato's, considering how likely it is she will join
