so zoro knew his mother before she died and she taught him the word “sunacchi “

Is it possible zoro also knew his father before he died ?


Interesting to see that the shimotsuki members has light grey box (even tho zoro father is half but isn’t considered one lol )

He probably didn’t have a close relationship with Zoro or even know him personally, judging by the way Kozaburo spoke to him. He didn’t refer to him by name just called him “brat” or “kid.” Probably saw zoro as regular kid who trains at the dojo

As far as we know, Zoro wasn’t born in Shimotsuki Village. he went there after his mother’s death, likely in search of strong opponents. The manga never explicitly states that the Shimotsuki dojo looked after him. It’s possible that after training each day, Zoro returned to the house where his mother died and stayed there, repeating that cycle until he turned 19 and became pirate hunter. This would make sense, since the only thing the dojo taught zoro was swordsmanship training. If Zoro had knew about his connection to the Shimotsuki clan, he probably would’ve recognized Yasuie or asked about the Shimotsuki name while in Wano.
