But Oda also doesn't treat it like a Zoan. Other MZ users transform just fine, awakened Zoans transform just fine, why is Luffy the only one whose transformation has such a limit like he's still in Gear 4?

You could call a superposition a blindspot. Yes, Katakuri's Mochi-Mochi Fruit was in a blindspot until it was declared a Special Paramecia.

The worst part is... I fear that isn't the last blindspot Oda has planned for us. There's plenty of them. We can't call them ALL retcons when he's actually just using our own thought processes against us.

How come its a blindspot when Jinbe said its Logia type?
thats not a regular mistake like when Oda forgot about Zoro scar etc.
Oda legit classified Katakuri fruit as Logia fruit on Weekly and then changed it quietly on Volume version as Special Paramecia
