Now that sweathawk has finally been exposed It's time to accept what I've been saying for years; you can still be a Zoro fan and tell the truth about sweat.
We learned in Wano that Ryuma had a distinct and superior title to WSS, which was Sword God
This actually coincides with what Zoro originally said in chapter 5, he was going to become the world's greatest swordsman but there was more to his goal than just that:
Zoro's true goal is Ryuma not sweathawk. We know that Zoro is basically Ryuma incarnate, we know that there is a title above WSS (sword god) and we know that sweat is a pussy.
But it goes further than that, all the way back to 'Wanted!' which was a previous manga written by Oda about Ryuma. This was Ryuma's sword rival in that chapter:
Looks pretty familiar no?
Very familiar in fact.
He even appeared to get the better of Ryuma early on. Well actually it turned out that this hawk-lookalike was a coward who was only concerned with stealing treasure and running away from real fights, he ran from both the dragon and Ryuma and then was defeated obviously.
It's true that Oda has somewhat reinvented this character into a very strong swordsman 'hawk-eye', but the call-backs to Wanted have been consistent throughout one piece and Zoro ascending past sweathawk with the title of sword god, is what Zoro fans should be aiming for, not just a mere WSS.
